Uk pop, Rock!: The Police

Metalheads: Metallica, The Police

pop-rock : red hot- Phil Collins

hard rock- metalheads : Metallica, billy idol

Seventies rock: Téléphone in 79-80- Buddy Rich, The who in 1971 too

The police with EZD2 too or maybe alt rock too

Rock ! is very versatile like EZD2

 

Metal ! is not my favorite except one preset for Megadeth (special snare drum )

Metal! > Scorpions in the 80’s 🙂

i have seen many videos and yes it sounds good and natural for the snares

about the SDD3, everything from rock to metal sounds good

maybe  the packs are useless if the original sdd3 has all what we need for rock-metal

 

and i have listened to many ezx packs too : i know them very well now

to find the best ones for a natural sounding

for me the best are: uk pop, ezd2 (great), alt-rock, metalheads, nashville, rock

“seventies rock “too but it sounds a little bit darker

but what i would like to find is a snare like in the videos

or maybe, just a look at the mix (reverb – oh- ambience, comp) would be enough

is it better with superior drummer 3

for these kinds of snare drums ? It sounds  so rock and natural in these  mixes (sorry if my English is not perfect 🙂

 

i really think i had not to buy ezd2 cos if i change it to sdd3 i will lose ezd2?

i have many ezx packs but my conclusion is that the sounds (in the demos) are better with superior drummer  3 (more natural sounding)

i can be a little disappointed if i have to change my software to a new one to be satisfied with

when i saw the big mixer in superior drummer 3 it was scary lol

 

with ez2 i just change the volume (of each parts), the OH! and the reverb or ambiance

the sound is a little bit different but what i don’t like is that EZD2 really wanted so sound like Bonham with the levee preset and with the others too

it sounds good

but when i listen to the “big rock ezx” i can’t not thinking about a double Bonham that’s why it is strange for me

you should  choose better  cos’ many packs can be useless when we have EZD2 because this one is very versatile from rock to blues to disco to metal

for example you have “seventies rock ezxx”, you have” big rock ezx” which is also the 70’s so, i would have preferred a full pack

for the 70’s (led zep, the Who, KISS, deep purple, Cream, black sabbath)

a full pack  for the 80’s (Collins Bon jovi, billy idol, Madonna Genesis, KISS etc.)

a full pack for the 90’s (red hot, pearl jam, Nirvana, ratm, Genesis, Kiss  etc.)

a full pack for the 2000′? which  bands? lol

a full pack for the 2010 and more (which bands ?lol)

yes, it’s better for the marketing to have several packs for metal too

but i prefer 80’s vol 1, vol2, vol3

90’s vol1, vol2, vol3 etc.

and in general, not with too much dark tones like “seventies rock” has

i had a similar sound of his gated reverb with Garage band and with  EZX  pop-rock( original mix)

and choose the good snare drum for you

in my demo, it sounds like his Piccolo snare drum

then, add the gated reverb you like

for me all the sounds sound good

but sometimes, it sounds a little bit dark or not powerful enough vs Garage band and its own drummer

try the uk pop expansion (it was made for that ) or  change the pitch to a higher pitch of one snare drum in ezd 2
