One way to do this right now for free is within your DAW just load several instances of EZdrummer . Say load 1 ez drummer with just your favorite kick drum. then another with your fav cymbals etc. then 1 with your fav toms, and 1 with your fav snare .
Assign them all to the same midi channel and they will all play as 1 custom kit.

btw you could also just have your fav whole kit , and then open 1 more ezdrummer to add a 2nd kick to blend with the whole kit.

These will all of course show up as separate channels in your DAW.

    Just an idea

I finally asked this same question to Toontrack support and got an answer.
They said that that serials do not go “bad” but they recommend using them right away , so they don’t get lost.
    Good to know

If you can use third party plug ins what is the point of asking Toontrack to supply saturation and reverb?

I am not trying to have an argument at all here really , but EZMIX is not a third party . It’s made by Toontrack and the link I supplied with my post shows a feature request for them to upgrade superior drummer to include EXMIX into the mixer where we already have thier eq, compression etc.

and the other “point” would be the ability to add as much or as little as one would want to of thier own personal taste.

Would like to see a saturation emulation plug-in as well as a reverb added to the SD effects

What I suggested here would do that and so much more : http://www.toontrack.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=127723

I know this idea won’t help for those who don’t own EZMIX , It really is agreat plug in value . I use it all the time for drums and almost anything

Well, I opened up EZMIX and typed in Analog in the search , and found this .
I see tape saturation and reverb , so there you go

So , will EZ mix 2 have xtra add on packs as EZ mix1 did ? or what?
How many presets come with ezmix 2
any chance of posting the Manual ?
Also, does EZmix2 have the vintage 1176 type compressor available just as a compressor ?
and the trasient shaper , and de-esser , as seperate , or will these all show up as a chain of plugins?
I hope each plug in is seperate , and that the plugs have a wt/dry mix control?

I have ez mix 1 and I love it btw

Brushes and finger stuff IS available right from each drum drop down menu . No need to use x-drums to get to these.

Try adding a crash via xdrum and then have it play/trigger by the same midi note as the ride ( volume blended to taste )
That makes it sound like a ride/crash . You’ll have to audition different crashes to find the golden cymbal sound thay suits your taste

    Wow,
That is some of the most awsomest drums I’ve heard from MF yet .
What kit did you use? ( I own MF )
and how much xtra tweking did you use ? Superior insert plugs or 3rd party plugs?
The toms sre SO big , what toms are they ?
If you want to keep the production tricks a secret I totally understand .

Great work on the song as well !

Also since Toontrack has tey to answer I have a few more questions please :

How do these presets differ from what is already in the satandard EZMIX Plug ?
Are they just Ezmmix presets with Allen sliding the fader to his taste and then renamed , or
are there new plug in chains that are not available in standard EZmix ?
Are there any new actual plugins that arn’t in EZmix standard ?

Also I never got a reply from Toontrack about this EZmix request ? http://www.toontrack.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=103744

On the three demos, it doesn’t say what EX MIX plugins are being used there or How many are being used for each of the 3 examples.
A Non EZMIX and then,a with EZMIX would be great also.

I can hear some things going on in these mixes but I’m not sure what role EZMIX is playing here?

    Thx
