    Hi,

it would be easier to answer all your questions if you provided the Project file but I’ll try with some answers.

If you add a China from one library into another, there may be some setup specifics that require you to review the Microphone Routing assignments and make adjustments.
In your particular example, I believe the ‘Close’ mic is separate mono in one and included in the stereo OH in the other, plus there’s a OH mono in the Darkness.
Anyways, the SD3 software suggests a routing for some microphones and adds some as new ‘X-channels’ in the mixer when you add the instrument from one library to another.
You can change this by right-clicking the instrument and going to ‘More > Route Instrument Microphones…’.

Review the suggested routing and change it if you wish to. Note that routing a mono Close mic to e.g. stereo OH will make it hard panned.
You can also choose to keep the added ‘X-channel(s)’, but I would rename them for easier spotting when mixing. Just double-click the name, e.g. ‘X-OH’ and rename it to e.g. ‘Death OH’. Should you add more than one instrument, in this case cymbals, the software adds the suggested X-channels as ‘X-OH1’, ‘X-OH2’, etc. I would simply route further added cymbals from the same library to the same OH in this case. Then right-click x-channels not in use in the Mixer and ‘Remove’.

If you have a Mono mic channel added, it has a single panning slider, if you add a Stereo mic channel it has a Left and Right panner slider.

Regarding your last question, I would suggest that you check the Microphone routings. The most likely answer is that there is bleed routing to existing microphones which places it in the center.

    Hi,

no select notes by velocity range (great idea btw, please post a feature request in the Requests & Feedback section) but what I would do is:

In the Grid Editor, zoom out so the entire song is visible, with a little space on the right side. Select all lanes that have these soft mis-triggered notes. Maximise the Velocity lane
With the Pointer Tool selected, click and drag from the lower right bottom to the left and lasso-select them. If you accidentally select a couple of wrong notes, hold shift and click them in the Velocity lane to de-select. If it’s easier to lasso-select the notes you wish to keep in the Velocity lane, do so and then hit Shift +I to invert the selection.
When you’re done with selecting the notes, just Delete them.

    Hi,

please Download the latest installer again and when you run it, don’t rush through but be sure to click the ‘Customise’ button to make sure the Standalone is checked before you hit Install.

    Hi,

could you please be more specific about which library and hi-hat you are using? The ‘open edge/tip 4-5’ articulations should be pretty long.

    Hi,

I copy my reply to the same question you posted in another thread:

    Hi,

    to reiterate:
You are free to use any Toontrack sound and/or MIDI in a musical context (most of the time called a “song”) you create.
I.e. it doesn’t matter how much of a Toontrack MIDI file or how many MIDI files you use to construct a “song”.
It does not matter which sounds you use when you create your “music”.
It does not matter if you give your created work/song/piece away or charge an enormous amount of money for it.
All of the above, you can do.

What you cannot do, is to sell (or give) the Toontrack MIDI or sounds intended for use in a musical context in its raw form.
I.e. you cannot take one, many or parts of a Toontrack MIDI file and sell or give away.
You cannot sample a sound from a Toontrack library, e.g. a Snare or a piano and sell or give away on its own.

You can and should make as much music as you possibly want with your Toontrack MIDI and sound libraries.

    John

So, to my surprise when I open EZKeys, I drag pattern to the track area. I can not delete it. Nor can I cut and paste. Is there some work around or setting that I’m missing? I’m working on my Mac workbook.

    Hi Gordon,

please elaborate. I am working on Mac mainly and do not have any problem using shortcut keys in EZkeys 2. Or are you using the original EZkeys (1) version? If so, you need to use the right-click context menu for deleting, copy/paste, mute, etc.

    Hi,

I am slightly confused by your last post in particular. You are Enabling and editing the MIDI mapping Preset on the ‘MIDI In/E-drum Settings’ page, right?

When a MIDI mapping Preset is Enabled, it doesn’t matter if you change Libraries and/or Library Presets, the MIDI in/E-drum preset is still active and should work as set up.

If you have your edited and saved MIDI In/E-drum preset active, you can save the current SD3 Project as Default Project via the File menu, which means SD3 will start with the MIDI In/E-drum preset active.

    1. sd3 audio crashes in standalone mode with lower sample rates.

    Hi,

can you please provide Toontrack Support with crash logs? When you write lower sample rates, what are we talking about?

As for the other points, they look like feature requests to me and would be better posted in the ‘Requests & Feedback’ section of the forum.

    Hi,

did you check the VST path in Sonar, that it includes the path to the location of the ‘ezdrummer.dll’?

The default install path for a Toontrack VST plug-in on 32-bit Windows is:
    C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\Toontrack
The default install path of the 32-bit VST plug-in on 64-bit Windows is:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\VstPlugins\Toontrack
Finally, the default install path of the 64-bit plug-in on 64-bit Windows is:
    C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\Toontrack

Which version of EZdrummer are we talking about? Can you run it standalone? Which OS version?

    John

    Hi,

you do not write which OS version and Studio One version but as per the FAQ:

The default install path for a Toontrack VST plug-in on 32-bit Windows is:
    C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\Toontrack
The default install path of the 32-bit VST plug-in on 64-bit Windows is:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\VstPlugins\Toontrack
Finally, the default install path of the 64-bit plug-in on 64-bit Windows is:
    C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\Toontrack

Do not move or copy the .dll file post install, point your host to the location of the .dll file instead.

if you run them in a host, like e.g. GarageBand or Logic, they sync to the host’s Timeline.
