Hello, I am starting this thread so that everyone can start a tally of known bugs and issues users experience in SD3, that have yet to be addressed. In hopes that it will spur toontrack to address the issues.
1. sd3 audio crashes in standalone mode with lower sample rates. Although while using SD3 as a vst in Ableton, using the same sample rates, there is no trouble. (There is obviously an issue with the standalone version here.)
2. Presets need to be updated for the latest modules. For example, all Roland kits that come with a TD-27 module now come stock with the Roland VH-14d digital hi hats. These hi hats allow bell articulations. The TD-27 preset does not fully support this hi hat pad. I’ve been told on this form that I should just use the td-50x preset. Why can’t toontrack just update their preset? I’ve also had better luck with the PD-140DS digital snare using the td-50x preset. This shouldn’t be the case for a at minimum $400 piece of software that has legitimate competition.
Let’s keep this list going.
