Hi cfedonzak,
I suspect you clicked past the ‘Customise’ button during installation. Anyways, I would recommend re-installing the latest software update and then make sure to install all parts of the software, including the Standalone.
When this is done, you should be prompted with a dialog to locate your library when you launch EZdrummer 3 if it isn’t in the expected (Default) location.
The Default location for the ‘EZdrummer’ content folder on PC would be ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Toontrack\’. Moving this ‘EZdrummer’ folder to another location with its structure and content intact is the way to do it. Like in this FAQ for EZbass, just switch out ‘EZbass’ for ‘EZdrummer’:

Hi James,
what is the problem exactly? Could you please provide screen shots of e.g. error messages? Describe what you are doing and what is happening (or not happening)?

Hi,
the answer is no and personally I’m not sure I would appreciate that but you can always make a request for this in the ‘Requests & Feedback’ section.

In SD3 the only way I have found to see the midi note is to menu-dive. Or am I missing a preference somewhere?
Hi,
not necessarily but it depends on which note number you mean.
MIDI In transforms must be viewed on the E-drums/MIDI In page but you can have the ‘MIDI Mapping Keys’ Side Panel open on the DRUMS page to quickly return to from the Grid Editor.

Hi,
if you right-click a kit piece on the DRUMS page and select ‘Search for Instrument’ from the menu, you can search for and replace kit pieces from all your installed sound libraries.
This menu also lets you Stack sounds, import your own audio samples, Save and recall User Instruments and more.
If you do not wish to replace an Instrument but to add one, you click the ‘Add Instrument’ button in the upper left corner.

John

Thanked by: John HaderHi Piper123,
as for installing, the Core MIDI is available as a download under the Superior Drummer 3 Library Part 1 downloads in the Product Manager.
Once installed, they appear on the Grooves page in Superior Drummer 3.

Hi Russell,
looks about right. The MIDI pack files are optimised for Toontrack Instruments and make use of an extended GM map, so other strictly GM instruments may not sound as intended upon playback. Also, other drum VI’s can have their own unique mapping.
EZX:s are indeed both sound libraries with accompanying MIDI libraries that can be read by both EZdrummer 3 and Superior Drummer 3. They also have their own presets, not only with kits but for the internal mixer.
SDX:s are also both sound libraries and accompanying MIDI with included presets for kits and mixer. SDX:s can only be read by Superior Drummer 3, yes. The MIDI that comes with it, can be read by both EZD3 and SD3.

Hi Glenn,
while I would like to point out that you can indeed be pretty creative with assigning the mixer outputs (I assume you haven’t explored this, since you seem to think that the automatic groupings per output “stem” is set) and muting/panning in EZdrummer 3, running more than one pass of the Export and splitting Stereo files into Mono; what you are asking for is a Superior Drummer 3 feature. Or sort of, you do not Bounce per Instrument but per microphone channel. IOW, mono microphones become mono audio files and stereo mics become stereo audio files. This is more like an actual recording situation, getting one audio file per microphone, pre the SD3 mixer, with the added options to:
– force enable all bleed or bounce with just the enabled in the mixer
– split OH close instruments
– split close mic from bleed
– split Stereo microphones into L/R mono files
You can of course also Bounce through the SD3 Mixer, EZdrummer 3 style, and get a file per mixer output instead (16 Stereo available)

Thanked by: Glenn StantonHi,
I haven’t seen that behaviour either. If you remove a member from the Stack, given that it is more than one of course, still leaves the Stack.
Could you give an example on how to reproduce or save a Project where this happens, zip archive it and attach to a post here?

Hi,
have you tried changing the ‘Downloads’ location in the PM Preferences to something else, e.g. on your Desktop?

Hi,
as you probably have seen, version 3.2.4 can be downloaded in the PM but 3.2.7 was followed by 3.2.8 fairly quick with a lot of bug fixes. In fact, since 3.2.7 there has been quite a lot of fixes and added support for new products released after Q4 2021, so I am not sure why you would want to install it on a new OS?
Anyways, if you must have this build, the only thing I can recommend is that you contact Toontrack Support directly:

Hi,
are you referring to the EZdrummer 3 Core MIDI Update? Are you getting error messages? If so, could you please post screen shots?
If not, could you please describe exactly what is happening?
