I just got introduced to the plugin and i downloaded the EZD2 and trying the demo. I has the impression that what i purchase was actually a plugin and not a expansion to a plugin, so i purchase something i am unable to use. how can i get my money back. These things must be made clear and your Youtube needs to be updated with information on your products so that more people don’t feel like they are been rippied off.

You can contact Toontrack directly via the Contact Support button in the FAQ below and request for a refund.

Every EZX expansion lists the requirements.

hello I am unable to install the EZX Expansion bundle it is saying i have to update toontrack software to the latest version and when u i tried the updater it is telling me the same thing. what’s going on with that

What version of EZD2 or S3 is shown on the interface? Usually the latest version of the plugin is required for an EZX expansion pack.

There is an upgrade price from EZmix Lite and then there is the regular price.

I purchased it from sweetwater. All the serial numbers are showing up in the product manager under ezmix 2 but I cant access any of the 6 packs, cant find them in the product manager, to use them. I am waiting on a reply from sweetwater and I appreciate you taking time to write me back. —-  J.R.

    Operating system: Windows 10

You will need to contact and wait for Sweetwater to look into the issue. Seems like they gave you the wrong serial numbers for the EZmix packs.

Where did you purchase? I don’t see an order with your email address in the Toontrack Webshop. Have you contacted the retailer?

This video shows multi out with S3 and Reason 11 but the process should be similar with EZD2.

S3 runs totally from RAM and not disc streaming. Does Trillian stream from disc or does it get totally loaded into RAM? The only thing a better/faster hard drive helps with is load time. Once the samples are loaded into RAM or really doesn’t matter.

See this FAQ below. It mentions EZD2 but applies to the S3 percussion as well.

How do I trigger the EZDrummer 2 percussion

Hello Scott.  Thank you for fast reply.

    so..

1)Should I unauthorize first and then uninstall? Or the other way around?  Or dont I unauthorize at all?

    2) Installing EZD1 first and then EZD2 will make problems with the GUI  in my DAW. (Reaper) . Changing name in the dll as I wrote previasly will fix most of it but..
Is this the solution you say?   (My EZd2 is not an upgrade)

Your Answer to another person with similar problem:

The auto register of the Pop/Rock EZX was designed for a user that has EZD1 registered to their account, and the purchase the EZD1 to EZD2 upgrade. If you purchase the Regular EZD2, the system won’t automatically register it.

I’ve registered a Pop/Rock EZX to your account. You should be all set.

    1. You don’t have to unauthorize EZD2 first. Just uninstall.

    2. The EZD2 .dll should install directly over the EZD1 .dll and nothing else should need be done. IF the EZD1 .dll was manually moved at some point so your DAW can locate it, then yes, you will of course have issues.

The way to prevent that in the first place is to install EZD1, then the EZD1 update that has the 64-bit version (I assume you use a 64-bit DAW) . Make note of the install location and set that path in Reaper.

Then, when you install EZD2, it should overwrite the EZD1 .dll.

As for my quoted reply; you would need to have the EZD2 upgrade (not the EZD2 Regular like you have) registered for the system to auto register the Pop/Rock EZX. The EZD2 Upgrade is long since discontinued so the above install method (install EZD1 then EZD2 over the top) is the only method available.

You should first uninstall EZD2 on your laptop. Then install EZD1 that is the pop/rock kit. Then install EZD2 again

    HELLO,

I just downloaded SD3 and installed on to an SSD. I seem to have gotten everything working fine, I have the full sound library right now from what I can tell. However, the Grooves tab says I have no midi library installed. Is the default midi library somewhere in the product manager? Or is it in one of the five expansion libraries I downloaded?

    Thanks,
    Colin

It should be under the Updates section of the S3 Sound Library Part 1.

The MIDI packs (keys, drums, or bass) contain unique MIDI unless otherwise stated.

For example, in the drum MIDI pack “Independence MIDI Pack” it states:

Please note that this is the same MIDI as included in the Indiependent SDX.

Please give feedback on what you’d like to see in EZkeys2.

I like to start the day with a good chuckle. This one-liner has been doing the job for more than 5 years now. Precious. 😆

Well of course. I’m in charge of everything and know precisely Toontrack’s plan with all releases…5 years ago when I posted. Good call… glad you can point out a 5 year old post.

I just bought and activated ez drummer 2. I  have 1 but no longer have the computer it was on. I have been searching for the midi files to ez drummer 1 and have not found them. I was wondering if they are somehow in the download for ez drummer 2? There is no option to download the Pop/Rock ezx in my Toontrack account. Please help me find the midi files from ez drummer 1.
    PS.
It seems ezdrummer one is disabled in my Toontrack account because I have purchased and am using ez drummer 2

The MIDI from EZD1 is not included with EZD2. If you installed EZD2 on the same computer as EZD1, it would have just replaced the EZD1 interface with the new EZD2 interface, and kept the EZD1 kits and MIDI to use.

In your case, if you want the EZD1 kits and MIDI, you will need to uninstall EZD2. Then install EZD1 on your current computer, then install EZD2 again.
