    Hi Scott E.

Yes, thanks that clears up the authorization but what about installation, I.e do I need to install the Project Manager or can I install directly from the .exe installation files?

    Thanks again.

2nd paragraph & video at this link refers to downloading and installing WITHOUT using the Product Manager:

    Hi to all.

Hope someone out there can help.
    Completely new to Toontrack software.

Is there any way to install and authorize SD3 in off-line mode on my non-internet based pc?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Is it possible that you are lacking disk space at the location for which the Product Manager’s Download folder is configured?
Or, that User Control is denying you access to download to that location?

    It’s called an “audio interface”.

With option (1) I feel there’s a small lag. How to I get rid of that lag?

In SuperiorDrummer3, reduce the buffer size to reduce the ‘lag’ (otherwise known as ‘latency’).
    https://www.toontrack.com/manual/superior-drummer-3/9/9-3-settings-2/#9-3-6-audio-midi-set-up-stand-alone

Also, in that scenario, I imagine that reducing the lag might also be controlled
by reducing the Yamaha DD-75 buffer size in whatever laptop software or driver the Yamaha provides.

Is there a good external device for my laptop that can improve my direct audio output interface?

Your choices for an audio interface are many & varied,
    limited only by your budget,
connectivity to your laptop (i.e.; USB2, USB3, USBC, Firewire, Thunderbolt)
and whether you might someday want to use it to record into a DAW (Garageband, Logic, Pro Tools, etc).
If so, you should probably consider how many inputs you might want to record simultaneously
and what audio output options you want to have available.

i don’t know… e-drums controllers aren’t my wheelhouse and you still don’t identify what drum module you are using.
is there a manufacturer-provided driver available for your drum module? is it current?

is it possible that you have a ‘power save’ option configured somewhere either on your laptop
or on your drum module that might be causing the USB disconnect?

PS. You may be limiting support responses to your inquiry due to posting in the “pre-sales” section of the forum.
Frankly, I stumbled upon your post.

from where are you monitoring (or intending to monitor) SuperiorDrummer3?

I don’t know anything about the Yamaha DD-75, but AFAIK you will only be able to monitor SuperiorDrummer3 thru the Yamaha DD-75,
    (1) if it can be configured as a direct audio output interface for your laptop, or
    (2) if you can route the SD3 audio from your laptop to the Yamaha DD-75 via analog audio connections.

just downloaded three midi packs and installed. No matter how many times I Install, they show in the manager as uinstalled

MIDI packs for which product? MIDI keyboard grooves for EZKeys or MIDI drum grooves for EZDrummer/SuperiorDrummer?
what other Toontracks software do you have installed besides the Product Manager and where is it installed?

also, can you please provide some details about your computer hardware, operating system, RAM, etc?

I would love it if I could purchase individual kits or single pieces. I want a cymbal or two from an EZX and a kit from another but I don’t necessarily want the entire package. It would also be great to be able to sample said kits or pieces before I buy them.

I’m wondering, what would be a fair price for individual kit pieces?

    1. Do I need the library to run SD3? Because it is taking almost 50GB of space from my hard drive.

No. I have ALL of my SuperiorDrummer (2 & 3) libraries installed on & pointed to an external drive.
The SD2, SD3 & EZDrummer plugins along with my EZDrummer libraries are on my internal system drive.
When the external drive is not connected, I can still run SD3 with my EZDrummer libraries.

3 When I am using SD3 on mac it shuts down every 20 minutes. I have to unplug and replug the Midi-cable to my MacBook Pro or Turn off and turn back on the drum module.

What shuts down every 20 minutes? your Mac? SD3? your drum module?
Please provide more details, including your Mac OS, hardware, drum module, etc.
I’ve not read or heard of any SD3-related issue like this…

Are you referring to the “Keys & Strings MIDI pack”? ( https://www.toontrack.com/product/keys-strings-ezkeys-midi/ )

if so, there are NO sounds included at all.
It is MIDI. MIDI is event data that instructs a software (virtual) instrument or hardware instrument what to play, how, when and for how long.

As noted on its product description page,
this MIDI pack includes MIDI containing parts that are complementary to 2 separate virtual instruments.
The MIDI designated for the string parts could be played by a virtual instrument
like the Mellotoon or String Machine Toontrack sound libraries
while the MIDI designated for the keyboard parts could be played by a virtual instrument like any Toontrack sound library.

the [SEARCH] function in the SD3 turned up quite a few references to using & defining ‘swing’

You’re going to be moving the ‘SL-XXXXXXXX’ folder for the library in question.
    Once moved;
In SuperiorDrummer3’s Settings Menu select Libraries.
Click the ‘Browse for Library Paths’ button
and then navigate to the ‘SL-XXXXXXXX’ folder for the selected library at its new location.
