This is a bug in the latest version of EZdrummer 2. If you use a MIDI controller to record notes in Tap-2-Find, you will get double triggers. The bug was fixed in the major update to EZdrummer 3, but as EZdrummer 2 is a discontinued product, it is unlikely that it will receive an update that would fix the bug.

This is not an issue in the older version 2.1.8 which is still available in Product Manager.

Full-production audio demos are meant to primarily showcase each product’s scope of sounds and articulations in the best possible way. Hence, demos may feature MIDI examples that are not included with the product. Any full production demo is meant to display sounds in the context of a mix and may feature custom, non-included MIDI as well as minor leveling and tweaks not represented within each product’s preset library.

The trial version does not have a serial number, you can download the trial from the Product Manager application.

Have you previously had EZD2 installed, perhaps as a trial?
If so, you would need to delete the EZdrummer 2 Core Library from your computer.

The default path if you haven’t moved the libraries or chosen a custom install path is:
Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > EZDrummer
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Toontrack\EZDrummer

Remove any folder that has a name starting with EZX2 from this location.

EZX2_EZdrummer2_Modern
EZX2_EZdrummer2_Vintage

You can expand the snare in the grid editor, you can then choose which articulation to put your MIDI notes on.

Are you on Mac?

Click “Show Details” under EZD3 in the Product Manager and download and run the latest 3.0.6 update installer.

In the EZD3 installer there is a portion of the installer titled INSTALLATION TYPE (to the left of the installer) in this section there is a CUSTOMIZE button that allows you to view the plug-in types being installed.

Make sure to check all the boxes for a full installation of EZDrummer 3.
