when i drag and drop a midi file and start palying cubase, cubase play another rythm…

In EZd2: have you checked that you have disabled Follow Host or removed the MIDI from the EZd2 song track when playing MIDI from the host?

Or else you might end up playing MIDI from both the host and EZd2 song track at the same time – which doesn’t sound good 🙂

So instead of listing those here, looking forward to Toontrack actually asking me for the feedback!

You guys are always welcome to post feature requests here on the forum. We read everything, and take notes of ideas we find interesting!

One big advantage of having the macros is that one control can change many parameters. You can, for example, have one control lower the volume of a mixer channel, while tuning a drum and changing the release time of the Level Envelope.

This “one control to change multiple parameters at once” is used alot in the presets that comes with the Toontrack expansions.

To adjust SD3 to e-drums, use the MIDI In/E-drums mapping page in Settings.

There are ready-to-use presets for different e-drum brands/models, MIDI learn for manually mapping, etc.

What other packs do you recommend for this? I guess I could manually punch something in, but having a library of grooves to choose from is hassle-free and the reason why I got SD in the first place…

In the Grooves tab, enable Show Webshop MIDI, and you can preview all MIDI that Toontrack has released!

I was able to reproduce it in both environments.

Can you step-by-step describe how to reproduce this bug?

Are you using a Mac or PC?

owever i can see how the close mic recording the drums and then using these multi track drums with superior drummer 3, should allow me to fairly realistically create half decent recordings

I know of several professional producers who uses this technique. They have access to really good sounding drum rooms, but sometimes they just want another kind of room ambience 🙂

Further, if you increase the size of the velocity area (below the grid) it’s easier to lasso select the wanted notes.

Besides these are stereo channels, pairs of mics I imagine, so what would reversing the polarity of the whole channel accomplish?

If you solo listen to that channel, you can’t probably hear any difference, but it can make a difference when you listen to that channel together with other channels (sounds can get out of phase).

We have had reports of similar issues with some expansion, where the “problem” was that some presets has noise effects on them. I don’t know if this applies for your setup?

My experience is that if you click to open the menus for the kits and then you use arrows to scroll to the kit you want then hit enter on the keyboard the kit name changes but the kit doesn’t load. If you click the kit then it will load. I don’t know if this is by design.

As Bear-Faced Cow said, this is a bug somewhere, because enter should select what is selected in the menu.

    • Are you using SD3 in Logic?
      • If you are using Logic, can you try it in standalone to check the behaviour there?

Your spec is exactly what I use, and I haven’t experienced this problem.

Hey I just used EZ Mix 2 in stand alone mode for the first time and created a few effects chains.  When opening the plug-in in my DAW, I cannot figure out how to apply those effects chains on a guitar track.  Any ideas??

Save a preset of each instance of EZmix in standalone (press the star button right side of the preset name window). This will save the preset in the Favorites tab. In there you can rename the presets if you want to.

Open EZmix in the DAW and load the preset from the Favorites tab.
