Hello, and thanks for the feedback!

Point 1: Handling a regular chord is “easy” since you often add the extension up in the higher registry of the chord, and it sounds ok. However, handling arpeggios by adding extensions can be a real challenge, since an arpeggio is defined by playing the notes one by one.

If you, for example, want to change a C5 to a C11 arpeggio, where should all the notes fit?

With that said, we aim to produce as good-sounding MIDI as possible, but the system is complex, and bugs can slip through! Can you give us an example of MIDI file(s) where this happens? Alternatively, zip an EZkeys 2 project where this occurs, and attach it to a reply in this thread.

Regarding point 2: doubling the speed (using the Tempo x2 in Grooves)  of Variation 03, EZ Keys 2, Arpeggio 165  bpm gives me the desired outcome: the MIDI is played twice as fast (see attached screenshot). Do you get another result, or is this result unwanted for you?

If you add a melody to Bandmate it will try to interpret what chords the melody plays, which isn’t the same as harmonizing (adding musical matching chords). However, the chords you get will probably be in the correct song key and you can change them to your liking.

When you have done that, drag the finished groove to the song track of EZkeys 2 and you can get suggestions for other chord progressions, using “Suggest Chords”, from the same song key as your groove.
