I could see an EZmix Drum Pack selling well.

    I *think* I understand

All of the cymbals (crashes/splashes and rides) in the Music City SDX have ‘Ride’ and ‘Bell’ articulations as well as ‘Crash’. Well, the ‘China’ doesn’t have a ‘bell’ articulation but it doesn’t have a ‘bell’ since it is a china.

Not quite sure you understood me after all, man

I only need the crash edge sound, and it needs to make a lot of noise, with slow response, and slow decay.

You’ll have to audition different crashes to find the golden cymbal sound thay suits your taste

That’s just the thing, I’ve tried them all, and there’s only one that really covers it. I would like more, preferably a bit darker sounding. I tend to hit a bit hard, and I need crashes heavy and slow enough to not sound like a splash in the process.

    Hotmail.

Here’s the page I get when clicking the links:

    Only Toontrack, yes.

Damn, I always thought this was the case, but some people denied it. No TT people, mind you.

Yes, TT build their snares so that the top velocity is a rim shot…

Really? Maybe I’m misunderstanding this, but do you mean that for any regular TT snare, a velocity of 126 is actually only the snare, and 127 is a rimshot?

I am with you. While I do really appreciate presets and the EZmix pack, I would for the most part be interested in more sounds. Especially snares. I’ve said this time and time again, the snares in Metal Foundry are all too puny and tight, and the accompanying presets are basically all doing the same thing, adding that weird artificial punch to them. More old school snare sounds, please.

I will however add to the praise, as Toontrack generally delivers top notch products. There will always be stuff that could be done better (or rather more to my taste ).

We (Toontrack) have no distribution right in Scandinavia. We are aware that some of you guys are affected by this and it might cause some inconveniences. We are looking in to it however and we will hopefully be able to make some improvements in the future.

All right then, crossing my fingers. It would be so much easier if we could order it directly online.

So it is another midi pack. Unfortunately this probably means it will be long until another metal release (specifically more sounds) sees the light of day.

I expect it to be a midi pack, judging by the blank shape on the Toontrack page, unfortunately.

So today the last Metal Month product shall be released. I am fearing it’s a midi pack. I’ve no need for those, so I would really like it to be more sounds.

What’s most on my mind at the moment is that it’s unneccessarily hard to get the products purchased here in Norway. Why oh why can’t it be a simple download like every other plugin manufacturer has? When I bought the Steven Slate presets I could order the product online, but I had to physically go to the local store here to get the activation code which was sent to them by e-mail. Why couldn’t this code be sent directly to my e-mail? I don’t understand.

Like when I bought EZMix also, I had to wait for a couple of weeks to get a card which simply had the activation code on it. Is there a good answer to why this has to be done in this stupid way? Sorry for the harsh language there, I’m just a bit annoyed that I have to wait a couple of weeks after every release date just to get a simple activation code.

    Am confused santa ?

    You can download them 🙂

    Norrie

Nope, not in Scandinavia, as far as I know.
