    Sorry for the late reply.

Most MIDI packs do have song structures (intro, verse, chorus, etc.) Sure are broken down like A,B,C sections like jazz arrangements. It depends on the pack and style.

The best way to find out is to use the Show Webshop MIDI option in EZD2 or S3. You can then browse every and all MIDI packs from Toontrack and see if they fit your needs.

Read the license, you are not allowed to resell the software. I found nothing that harmonized with Swedish, Norwegian dance music and older country music in these three programs. For me, this purchase was a big financial loss, over 4000, -SEK right out the window you could say. Tragically, I get stuck with such expensive music programs that I can not use for anything, and can not resell.

Yes you can resell it, as the FAQ states.

    https://www.toontrack.com/faq/transfer-of-license-and-multiple-installs-important-information/

The only stipulations are that you must wait 30 days and there is a $15 transfer fee and of course, contact Toontrack via the license transfer webform (see the above FAQ).

so, @Scott, this is really real? I sell a drum MIDI pack for 15 EUR and I will have to pay 15 EUR for the license transfer?

If this is real I will have to change all my reviews and explicitly mention this fact in all my videos about Toontrack products 🙁 Personally, I think it is inappropriate that there is a fee at all.

As good and as much fun as the Toontrack stuff may be, 15 EUR per transaction is not a reasonable proportion. 😉

I can no longer recommend buying Toontrack products as I recently learned that there is a 15 euro / dollar fee to be paid when reselling a license. Toontrack calls it a “license transfer fee”. Great products, great forum, but that’s a really crappy topic. Sorry! This is an important point to keep in mind if you are planning on purchasing a Toontrack product.

Fortunately, that doesn’t really concern me at the moment. But as mentioned before, I have at least two drum MIDI packs that are identical to the MIDI of the expansions. Why should I keep the MIDI packs that I bought much earlier than the EZXs? Doesn’t make sense, does it? 😉

Yes. Information regarding Toontrack’s license transfer process and policy can be found here: https://www.toontrack.com/faq/transfer-of-license-and-multiple-installs-important-information/

Hi Scott. One thing I haven’t well understood. Let’s say I’m selling a SDX and two MIDI packs altogether. Will you levy $45, three times $15 per item, or a single $15 for the whole transaction?

    Shaw

From what Toontrack has told me it’s $15 per license.

Do you own more Superior libraries than just S3? If so, and have installed the included MIDI packs, yes, they should show under the Superior Libraries MIDI list. Which SDXs do you have?

The column to the right shows the content of the selected library. In your case, the blue, highlighted S3 midi library.

“If your just looking for 4 clicks, I’d just search the internet for a stick click sample, download it, and copy/paste it 4 times at the 1/4 note marks at the start of your song in your DAW on an audio track.

That’s a heck of a thing for a Technical Advisor to say.  At that rate why not just do a search on the internet for all sorts of drums.  Then you could build your own sound samples of drums.  And while your at it you could do samples of keys and horns and strings, etc.  If it wasn’t for the patterns you wouldn’t need ToonTracks at all!

I love EZDrummer.  With this program I can make my recordings sound much more like a real band.  Can’t pretend to have a drummer count the song in with a stick count though.

Just had to vent as I didn’t like Scott Sibley’s answer to something that several customers (including myself) would like to see.

    Thanks for the forum!

Just trying to offer assistance. Sometimes the specific product a customer has isn’t the product that does what is needed. Sometimes the right answer is to look for a simple sample somewhere else.

As stated above, there are Toontrack sample libraries that offer stick clicks. I was offering another solution. I apologize if I seemed offensive in my reply.

EZmix 2 is a multi-effect plug-in that lets you assign professionally designed audio processing effect chains to any audio source. It’s not a sampled virtual instrument like EZbass, EZdrummer, or EZkeys. It’s also not a MIDI pack. You use EZmix as an insert or aux to process your tracks (eq, compression, reverb, amp simulator, et al).

The Cocktail EZX was included in the original EZD1. It has never been released as a separate product for purchase or included with another product.

Is it the same if you load EZD2 in the Rack and not as an instrument Track? When I load in the rack, the outputs aren’t repeated.

I use Cubase 9.5 and don’t have any duplicate channels when routing multi out. Can you post a link to the video showing that? I load EZD2 as a Rack Instrument (not a track Instrument). Activate all outputs (16 stereo outs). They show as 1-16 in the Cubase mixer. Then I route channels in the EZD2 to the 16 outputs.

If you are using multiple outputs from EZdrummer 2 you have the option to use “Preset Sets Routing” when saving/loading your presets from the same library, which means that when you select a new presets, the outputs will be changed to the outputs specified in the preset (specially useful if you have saved a custom preset, with special outputs). If you don’t use “Preset Sets Routing”, your output routing will be kept.

Of course, when you switch libraries you have different mic and channel configurations so you’d need to adjust your multi out routing accordingly.

You can increase the “velocity” of a block via the Block Properties menu. But, that’s not volume per se and if volume is what you want to increase and not tone/timber that velocity can provide, you would need to adjust that in your DAW.

Ah. I see now. This is with an added ride and not a default ride that is already mapped and just just turned on. Sorry I missed that.

So, select the Crescendo articulation in All Articulations menu. Then select MIDI Mapping Property box and click the 3 horizontal lines menu button. It should just show the Crescendo articulation now. Click the 3 horizontal lines menu button for that articulation and you should have some options. Selecting Add Suggested Note: is the easiest option. Or you can select a note of your choosing.

It should then show on the grid editor.

If the particular ride was recorded with a crescendo articulation, and it’s not currently turned on, you will need to turn it on in the Articulation Menu.

See details in the manual. Scroll to the Articulation Menu section in the link below.

    https://www.toontrack.com/manual/superior-drummer-3/3/3-4-drums-tab-header-bar

Keep in mind that there will only be an on/off button if the Articulation you want was recorded. It will be grayed out of its not available.

Once turned on, it should appear in the Grid Editor by clicking the specific kit piece expand “arrow” that reveals all the articulations.

I’m sorry this has happened. I’m not sure forum mods can offer any assistance other than moral support. Toontrack Support will need to look into your case directly.
