Is this in standalone or in a DAW?
If in a DAW, do you have MIDI on both the DAW track and the EZD3 Song Track?

Does the Toontrack Product Manager show any updates for those libraries? Have those updates been run?

Superior Drummer 3 offers a feature called Tracker that allows for importing of audio files and converts them to MIDI.
The Bandmate feature in EZD3 allows you to import say, a guitar or keyboard or bass track and will offer drum parts that follow.

Are you loading the EZD2 Project as stated in the manual?

Can you report that the “Import EZdrummer 2 Project” doesn’t work?

There are 2 things.
EZkeys Sound Libraries (Instruments): https://www.toontrack.com/ezkeys-line/#instruments
EZkeys MIDI Packs: https://www.toontrack.com/ezkeys-line/#midipacks
The sound libraries contain sounds.
The MIDI packs contain no sounds. They are just MIDI that play the loaded EZkeys Instrument.
So if you want sounds you need EZkeys Instruments. If you want MIDI to play sounds, you need EZkeys MIDI.
Hope that clarifies.

Yes, I understand about Midi not containing sounds. But the midipacks have their own sound libraries I gues?
See the pic of the Browser.
Reply To: EZkeys midipacks don’t show in EZkeys version: 1.3.3

No. The EZkeys MIDI packs do not contain sounds.

So the Use Browser MIDI doesn’t open the MIDI Browser. That is used to manipulate the MIDI on the EZkeys Song Track. The Browser button to open the MIDI Browser is near the Transport. See my pic.
Like I said, if you only have the EZkeys Vintage Piano sound library, any MIDI pack you play into it will only sound like the Vintage Piano. If you want a different sound, you would need a different sound library as the MIDI packs contain no sound they are just MIDI.

Can you take and post a screenshot of the EZkeys MIDI browser currently?
The MIDI libraries contain no sounds. They are just MIDI.
If the MIDI shows in the EZkeys MIDI Browser, it sounds like you have things installed correctly.

That message doesn’t indicate that the plugin isn’t “activated”. Its showing that the audio device isn’t active. Perhaps there is a setting in your DAW to release audio driver in the background or similar.
Look at the thread for other tips:
Also, what audio interface are you using? Are you using ASIO drivers?

I just wonder if it is so that all (old) EZdrummer expansions will be working in EZdrummer 3..?
