I think the lack of kybd shortcuts or lack of kybd control is a commonality among plug-ins in general.
As having only just released EZDrummer2 as a standalone application, I can understand Toontracks’s dilemma; users would use kybd shortcuts in the standalone and subsequently get confused (read: frustrated) when those same shortcuts don’t work in the plug-in or do something surprising in their host application.
…and this has been discussed previously in the following threads:
https://www.toontrack.com/forum/ezkeys-pre-sales/will-ezkeys-support-keyboard-shortcuts/
https://www.toontrack.com/forum/ezplayer-help/no-keyboard-shortcuts/

NOTE: It seems John & I responded to your post at the same time.
Let me be clear: his response supersedes anything I say, as he is an actual Technical Advisor.
Hopefully, I haven’t contradicted anything he has said.

ORIGINAL: Jym Feat
yet does A_S4_V_v05 tell us more than that?
Yes.
It tells us it is the ‘Ballad’, Straight 4/4, ‘Push 76 BPM’ song, Verse, Variation 05, default velocity (0).For, say, Americana Midtempo, Straight 4/4, Amtrak Dbl Time 97 BPM, Verse, Variation 05, it would look like this:
A_S4b_Vc_V05
Great!!! So there IS a translation table!!!
You were able to reveal an amazing amount of detail from that small groove label.
Can y’all please make it/them available? Perhaps, if only as an update to each library and MIDI pack?
Thanks.
To Clarify:
Step 3. in Logic’s MIXER window, a ‘+/-‘ will now be available just below the EZDrummer channel fader for you to add as many AUX channels as needed for your EZDrummer output routing.
PS. I’m not sure to what you’re referencing as “an updated Multi channel Template for LPX” but once you’ve set up the routing and whatever other tracks, etc, you can save your own personalized “Multi channel Template for LPX”…maybe even a few of them, one for each drumkit and routing layout you create.
I just did this for the first time myself a few nights ago…
It’s really as easy as the video that you’ve referenced above; even though the interfaces for Logic & EZDrummer have changed a litttle.
Step 1. in Logic, create an Instrument Track, using EZDrummer Multi-Output (16xStereo) as your instrument plug-in
Step 2. in EZDrummer, on the MIXER tab, select Multichannel from the Channel dropdown list just above the Kit-Piece name of the channelstrip. You’ll see the output routing change from channels 1&2 to a default multi-output routing courtesy of Toontrack or you can create a routing of your own choosing.
Step 3. in Logic’s MIXER window, a ‘+/-‘ will now be available for you to add as many AUX channels as needed for your EZDrummer output routing.
Step 4. typically, Logic will automatically add the EZDrummer routing to the Input of each of these new AUX channels, but you may want or need to make your own selections or even route some EZDrummer outputs to more than one AUX channel in Logic
The ‘ezdp’ Project file you’ve created and saved from EZDrummer is used and loaded back into REAPER from within the EZDrummer instrument Insert from within your Reaper session, not in the ‘Open Project’ function of the Reaper File menu.
As you probably know, Reaper projects have a file extension of ‘rpp’.
PS. what is MAO software?
There’ve been multiple forum threads asking (and answering) this question.
Also, at least one FAQ regarding the percussion. https://www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-trigger-the-ezdrummer-2-percussion/
In Logic Pro X (or any other DAW host), the Piano Roll Editor, the Score Editor or the Musical Typing window would reveal the following:
Db-2 is the “One Shots” (handclaps, etc)
D-2 is the Shaker(s)
Eb-2 is the Tamborine

Thanked by: ssoorriinn133I believe that you’ll find the easiest (and likely, only) way to review your registered Serial Numbers and your confirmed Authorization Codes is to log into your Toontrack account and click on the “My Products” option.
Further clicking on “Show All _____ Products” will reveal the entire line of products for that category, displaying those that you’ve registered in full color. Those products that you have not purchased or for which you have not registered a Serial Number will appear slightly blurred out.
If you have Serial Numbers that you suspect that you received but may not have have registered with your Toontrack account, log into your Toontrack account and click “Register a Product”. Enter the suspect Serial Number and attempt to register it.
Worst-case scenario is that you encounter a “Serial Number already registered” response. Best case, you have another great Toontrack product with which to play.
I can’t speak to the demo as I upgraded from EZDrummer1 to EZDrummer2 as soon as it was available on May 6th,
but, that said, it looks like the EZDrummer2-included library, Modern/Vintage kit comes with almost 1,000 grooves:
720 grooves for the kit and 254 grooves for the percussion (handclaps, tamborine, shaker).
This is what I discovered going through my libraries:
Of the EZX expansion kit libraries, the Nashville, MetalHeads, “The Classic”, Americana, Metal Machine, Rock Solid,
Indie Folk, Rock!, and Metal! sound libraries include MIDI that is broken down into intro/verse/pre-chorus/chorus/bridge/fills/endings specifically.
Of the MIDI add-on packs, the Songwriter’s Packs 1-4, Rock Songs, Backbeats, Ballads, Basic Rock, and Session Drums
are broken down into intro/verse/pre-chorus/chorus/bridge/fills/endings.
FYI: The SuperiorDrummer SDX expansion libraries that include MIDI that is broken down
into intro/verse/pre-chorus/chorus/bridge/fills/endings are:
NY Volume #3, Music City, and The Rock Warehouse.
Some of their included MIDI grooves are available as standalone MIDI add-on packs.

Thanked by: Naomi HaworthI downloaded the DP8.06 demo to give it a whirl.
It appears that DP8 only allows Drag&Drop to a MIDI track, not to an Instrument Track.
I also experienced what you’re saying about Drag&Drop adding data to the Conductor Track.
It did the same for me. Additionally, when I attempted to Drag&Drop a MIDI clip into the Track area (creating a new track),
DP questioned whether I wanted to merge the Conductor data or not.
NOTE: I found that I could Copy&Paste MIDI clips from the EZDrummer2 GrooveBrowser into a MIDI track in DP without it adding data to the Conductor Track.
PS. If you absolutely feel that you need to (at least ’til your DP issues are resolved),
you should be able to uninstall EZDrummer2 and reinstall EZDrummer1 from your Toontrack account.
Hopefully you supplied Support with a few more details; like at a minimum your OS & RAM.
I know that you have said that you prefer to Drag&Drop directly from the Browser
but (as a workaround and as a means of diagnosis) CAN you drag MIDI clips from the Song Track into DP?
Can you Drag&Drop from EZDrummer2 to your Desktop and THEN from the Desktop into DP as a workaround?
Huh, I’m not sure how “Google” got this so wrong,
but the MIDI layouts are found among the selections in the Menu dropdown.
Alternately, you can search your hard drive for the individual layouts for each expansion.
The documents are titled, “EZX-Keys.pdf” each filed in its library’s respective folder.
