I just purchased a new Mac desktop computer. I had Toontrack installed on an older windows-based computer. How do I transfer Toontrack to the Mac pro?
We recommend using the Product Manager application to login to your account so you can easily download, install, and authorize your product(s) to your new computer.
The Product Manager is the best way to complete everything all from within one location.
The Product Manager can be downloaded at this link:

In this case, close Logic, then download and re-install the latest 3.3.6 SD3 Update to ensure the latest version of the Audio Unit/AU plug-in is being installed.
This download is found in the Product Manager > Superior Drummer 3 > Show Details area.
Once you download and install this update you will have the VST, AU, AAX, and Standalone.
In the SD3 installer there is a portion of the installer titled INSTALLATION TYPE (to the left of the installer) in this section there is a CUSTOMIZE button that allows you to view the plug-in types being installed.
Make sure to check all the boxes for a full installation of Superior Drummer 3.

Thanked by: Rebrab and BradHi, and thank you for your answers, I figured out that without a piece of midi in the track inside SD3 nothing happened.
So i need to program my drums, and then add the midi inside SD3 prior to bouncing or it will be no show.
If there is a different way please let me know, also Toontrack; you should inform about this (if you have not already … )
Apart from that, great sounding drums – already used them in 3 productions –
thank you 🙏🏻
S
Yes, you would need MIDI on the Song Track in SD3 in order to bounce it. If the MIDI sequence that you would like to Bounce is located in your DAW, you will need to import it into the Song Track of Superior Drummer 3 first.
You can read more about the bounce function here: https://www.toontrack.com/manual/superior-drummer-3/7/7-1-the-track-menu/#7-1-1-bounce

Thanked by: sveinI deleted both apps and reinstalled to default locations using the installer. Looks like that resolved the issue.
Great! Glad that you solved it.

It looks like you have some EZbass MIDI installed in the same folder as your EZkeys MIDI.
Have you moved any sound/MIDI libraries?
The default path for the EZkeys MIDI is C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Toontrack\EZkeys\Midi
Make sure that you only have EZkeys MIDI in that folder.

There have been reported issues of the Seventies Rock MIDI appearing as “EZX_70s” in the EZD3 MIDI Browser window.
The correct title for this EZX MIDI library is “EZX Seventies Rock”.
In this instance, you will need to get into your main EZDrummer\Midi folder and remove “EZX_70s” file from within that Midi folder.
Then, from within EZD3 standalone, use the EZD3 Settings > Advanced > Restore MIDI database option. That should effectively remove the listing for the deleted “EZX 70s” file.
The default PC location for the main EZDrummer folder is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Toontrack\
or:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Toontrack

Thanked by: Jon KurtzCould it be that the aftertouch outputs at a velocity too low to trigger?
Go to Midi in/Edrums settings, select the preset for your kit, and then below in the “edit” menu, check “Single choke Mode” and “lower choke threshold”, make sure to save the preset.

You can read more about the difference between Sound Expansions and MIDI packs here: https://www.toontrack.com/faq/what-is-the-difference-between-a-midi-pack-and-an-ezx/
The text refers to EZXs but the same applies to EKX/EBX/SDXs.
Note that the older EKXs (made before the release of EZkeys 2) do not contain any new MIDI grooves, just the new Sound Library and Presets.

If you are trying to open SD3 and have had the EZD3 trial installed on your computer previously, remove the EZX3_EZdrummer3_BrightRoom, EZX3_EZdrummer3_MainRoom, and EZX3_EZdrummer3_TightRoom folders from your EZdrummer libraries path.
The default path if you haven’t moved the libraries or chosen a custom install path is:
Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > EZDrummer – Mac
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Toontrack\EZDrummer - Win

Yes, the trial version of EZD3 should also work as an AU plug-in in Logic.
