You can install the sound library on an external drive, you should get the option to choose a location when running the part 1 installer. All parts of the core sound library must be installed at the same location.

Have you downloaded and installed all available updates from the Product Manager application?

You can try and download and install the Core Library again, that should fix the issue.

Yes, if you can select and put the Upgrade version in your cart, you should be able to purchase it as well.

Try opening your DAW as administrator and also without administrator permissions.

To turn on or off administrator mode, right-click the DAW.app > Properties > Compatibility and you’ll find the checkbox for running the app as administrator.

This is the most ridiculous glitch and I have tried numerous fixes that don’t work. How do I get a refund for this SDX that is not close to complete with such a glaring glitch?

Try selecting the default hi-hat openness preset in the E-Drums settings.
