Personally, I have little use for a MIDI editor built into S2 as I use my DAW (Cubase) for editing and I’m lighting fast with it.

Not quite the same thing, but you can use X-drums to add the Ambience of one kit to another kit.
For example: Avatar kit, but using ambience from Allaire kit.
See “EXAMPLE #1 – adding ambience from different studio” from about 4:13 in the Superior Drummer 2.2 Introduction video.

Try inserting the Sonalksis Transient plug-in and dialing down the sustain parameter.

SD will definitely sync with the Logic playhead/tempo, but doesn’t respond to Logic’s Start and Stop here.
