More than the sensible limit of 128, the number of MIDI notes.

Just wanted to mention that, generally speaking, enabling/disabling effects may impart some click noise. This would mainly be because of latency compensation being reconfigured. The EQ doesn’t have any latency so shouldn’t cause a click.
Also, the macro knobs are parameters of the plug-in and can probably be automated in the host without the use of MIDI.

For Cymbal 1, Right-Click menu>More>User Instrument>Save As.
Then go to Cymbal 5 and load that preset you just saved.

DFH1 libraries were supported from release by Superior 2.0.

Do you mean that if you tell SD3 to use only one core but you tell Logic
to use as many cores as it finds use for then you get these same problematic
noises and crashes?

When you change to a preset within the same SDX the loaded sounds that are the same in both presets should not need to load from disk again.

SD3 will use the same amount of CPU for rendering as EZ2 when
running the same preset. You can opt to let SD3 use multiple cores
for rendering but EZ2 has no such feature.
Apart from rendering, more CPU is probably spent in SD3 updating
the graphics of the drums, if they are showing, compared to EZ2.
>Is SD3 a way bigger hit on CPU than EZD2? Are they similar?
So, no, they are similar – as long as you tell them to do similar things.
Are SD3 presets more demanding than EZX presets? Not really.

And I repeat myself:
This is our open E-drum workshop forum where you discuss making
your own drum pads and tweaking drum modules. Which might be
fine for your posts. But if you expect support for SD3 you should post
in the SD3 support forum:

That is correct. Not yet in SD3.
In EZ2 you can use bank select to select an EZX or target your
user presets. Program change then selects among the factory
presets of the selected EZX or among your user presets.
