Sorry, my terminology was very poor – I did mean what extra instruments bleed into what mic positions!

The most important bleeds for me (above the overheads) are the ones into the different ambient mic positions. Can you clarify a little more – I need to have the bleed mics package installed to hear all these?

I’ve had a quick look and it seems like I got my wish, nice one!

Huh… there it is in the manual, exactly what we want, but I can’t find that setting in real life in 3.0.1… would love to!

On a related note, would like an option in the Show menu to have Midi Mapping Keys, sw we can always see what’s going on.

Thank you John – happy to report this has worked well. I also needed to update each sound library with the latest versions on the website, and once done everything working perfectly.

That’s good to know Pedda_1, but it’s not quite my position. At the moment I don’t have SD2 installed at all, so I don’t see how it can know where my paths are. My guess is I’d have to re-install SD2 first even if I then uninstall it again after SD3, but it would be good to have this confirmed.

Thanks guys – looks like it was a Java issue. Odd, nothing changed my end, but reinstalling the latest version of Java woke the website back up.

That is, unfortunately, the case. I will forward your request to the sound guys here at Toontrack however, to let them know that we have customers who would like that SDX as a MIDI pack!

You’re a good man, thanks very much Henrik Smile

While you’re chatting, for future packs I’d love a few more genres to be covered. There’s only one Reggae groove in the entire Toontrack arsenal at the moment (in fact that would be a good EZX all round, wouldn’t it?). Then how about some Ska, Punk, Rare Groove, modern Indie and more EDM for the electronic sets? I love the Toontrack grooves very much, the playing and realism is terrific but in general its skewed quite heavily towards the USA – Rock, Country, Ballads etc.

Cheers, still loving playing around with EZD2 mxing and matching all those kits.

I am going to leave the suggestion of packs for someone else to answer – but remember that you can use the “Use Web Shop MIDI” button (at the top of the Search tab) to browse the different MIDI packs that are available in our web shop :)

I actually asked this question in the Other Pre Sales area but not sure if it’s been seen – I got some good results from the Custom and Vintage midi, wen’t to buy it only to discover its not for sale! Looks like the only SDX midi I can see that isn’t available separately – is this an oversight? Me wanna… thanks

You can use ALT (on Mac) or CTRL (on PC) to drag-copy in the Song Track.

Yes, we have discussed adding a trashcan and maybe some other symbols/functions to speed up the workflow. We haven’t had time to dive into that yet though.

How did I not find that? Terrific, a real time saver. Thanks for the other feedback too.

Yes, I see the problem too.

There might be a couple of things that would help though – top would be to use shift as a modifier when dragging clips in the EZD timeline in order to copy them. Might also be nice to have a trashcan icon to quickly throw stuff a way with one click and drag. And shift and drag to the trashcan to open a pop up on release to trash any element in the groove, perhaps?

Thanks Henrik – those three would be terrific (and of the three, I think swing quantize is the most urgent).

One more – first time I tried Song Creator I was blown away with how spot on accurate and usable it was. However, a few times I’ve tried it subsequently its been entirely the opposite, I couldn’t see how it made the suggestions it did. I can’t predict what sort of grooves work best with it yet. Are the algorithms still a work in progress? Any tips for getting the best chance of good results?

One final specific (very small thing) – in the metalheads exx, I’d love it if the triggered kick and snare were still enabled if switching out the instrument components – so the normal real instrument changes but the triggered one remains.

    Thanks thanks.
