Hi Gromatic,
could you please elaborate?
Which OS are you on?
Which updates?
How did you delete the Product Manager?

Hi Julio,
all libraries can reside on external drives. Please see the FAQ and/or Help Forums sections for each product but the procedure is the same for all EZ instrument products.
If you need further help, please post in the Help section(s) for registered users, not here in the Studio Corner.

John

Hi normankrow,
I am not sure which post you are referring to but if you have a small system drive, be sure to start with going into the Preferences in the Product Manager app and change the ‘Downloads’ location to somewhere else where you have more space. This will set the location for downloaded installation files, which can be deleted after installation has succeeded, i.e. this is not a general location for libraries etc.
Next, if you are an SD3 user and are about to install an SDX sound library, pay attention while running the installer, since it will have an option for customising that library’s location. The software (plug-ins, app, configuration files, etc) should be installed to your system drive.
You can change the location for Toontrack MIDI and EZdrummer EZX libraries (should you install any of those) in the SD3 Settings > Libraries/Paths.
Scroll down to ‘Additional paths’ and click the small drop-down menu to the right (hidden by the drop-down itself in my screen shot) to reveal the currently set location in the Finder/Explorer, so you can move it according to the instructions. Restart SD3 and Locate.

John

Thanked by: Adam SalkeldHi,
I suspect that most people having trouble reaching expected results are mixing up different types of Presets and Projects.
Projects are saved and loaded via the File menu; ‘File > Save As..’, ‘File > Open…’. Projects save the entire state of the SD3 plugin/app. An SD3 Project (*.sd3p) file can be stored anywhere and opened anywhere from, unlike Presets.
Presets can be saved in many places for different type of properties; Mixer Channel strips, individual mixer inserts, some Property Boxes, Views, etc.
but also Drums and Mixer Presets, which are presets that store pretty much everything on the Drums and Mixer pages. Unlike a Project, it doesn’t store an applied MIDI Preset or MIDI on the Song Track(s), for example.
A Drums and Mixer Preset must reside in the User Preset folder for its parent library loaded when it was created.
I.e. if I load the ‘Hansa – Marble Room’, clear the Kit and switch out the kit pieces to Instruments from other libraries, e.g. the SD3 Core library, even the other Hansa ‘Live Room’ library and the ‘Meistersaal’ library, the preset will not be visible under User Presets unless I first load the ‘Marble Room’ library.
This means that if you receive a Drums and Mixer Preset from someone else, you must place it in the User Preset folder for the library that was loaded when it was created.
Placing an SD3 Project file (*.sd3p) in a Drums and Mixer User Preset folder will not work.
Opening it via the File Menu and then Saving it as a Drums and Mixer User Preset works and after it is saved as such will let you load Parts from that Preset, such as (selected) Instruments, (selected) Mixer Channels and Macros.

Hi,
I would first drag the different grooves to the Song Track to check the differences in velocity and try to even them out there, before dragging to DAW.

Hi Bryan,
great that you are sorted but this is a good example of when it can be troublesome when you move or copy the VST .dll file post install. The Product Manager will never “know” about your moved/copied .dll files and thus cannot update them.

Hi,
when you route something to a Bus, a fader for that Bus pops up in the Mixer.
You can double-click that fader name to rename it to something else, e.g. ‘Kick’ or ‘Snare’. So, if I rename my ‘Bus 1’ to ‘Kick’, it’s still the same Bus, just with a more friendly name.
The same goes for outputs; if I route a fader (Mic or Bus fader) to an output other than Output 1-2, this output gets a new fader in the mixer. These output faders can also be double-clicked to change their name. The still have the same numbering for connecting to your DAW, though.
If you wish to see all Bus and output faders, even if all do not have anything routed to the, there is an ‘Edit Visibility’ button at the top of the mixer.

Thanked by: Scott Eshleman and BradHi Jimmy,
your email addresses were edited out.
There is no other way than contacting Toontrack Support directly via the FAQ, as Scott wrote above your post, the Forum Advisors cannot help with this matter.

Hi Hamiro89,
did you see the advice above about Enabling the Envelope and setting the Release to Note Off? If not, please try it out and adjust the Release Time to taste. It will IOW sound until you release the key/the length of the MIDI note.

John

Hi,
it would help if you could post screen shots of error messages, please. Are you saying you do not own the Electronic EZX product but still get a prompt for Authorising it?
Are you using a used computer?

Hi Charles,
I just tried submitting the Contact Support Form here and I’m connecting via mobile from a train, so no internal network. I am using Safari latest version, which browser are you using? Did you fill in all the required fields and also the Captcha?

Hi,
that is the installer for Additional Bleed, which requires that Part 1 of the SD3 Core Library is already installed. Is it?
