Hi Stephen,
just want to add that if you do this (edit the Velocity Curve) on the DRUMS page (which can work perfectly fine for you) it’s also affecting how the grooves in the MIDI library are played back. If you edit the Velocity Curve for e.g. the Kick on the MIDI In/E-drums Settings page, this is performed on the incoming MIDI from your kit and grooves from the MIDI Library are not affected.
If you only use SD3 for E-drumming, this might not be an issue for you.

John

Hi AbeerA,
what you are describing and wish to do is currently not possible in the EZdrummer 3 standalone app. As Mick and Jord suggests, this would best be achieved by using your DAW’s pre-roll. It works as you describe in Pro Tools. You can still record into EZdrummer 3 with it loaded as a plug-in in Pro Tools, just record-arm the EZD3 Song Track and hit Play in Pro Tools.

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanHi Ian,
you should be able to just right-click the folder in EZD3 and select ‘Open in Finder’. This opens the folder in Finder and then you can navigate one level up to delete it.
Alternatively, you navigate to {Mac HD}/Library/Application Support/EZdrummer/Midi/.

Operating system: Windows 10
Hi, you have no registered products and I can’t find any orders connected to this email address.
Is this more of a wish or have you bought EZdrummer 3 from another account?
If the latter, please contact Toontrack Support directly via the ‘Contact Support’ button found at the bottom of every FAQ page.

Hi,
you cannot have different microphones active depending on if you are triggering from an external controller or playing back MIDI from the Grooves library.
However, you can create a Macro to easily un-mute/mute a selection of microphones with a knob, which you can bind by MIDI Learn to a controller value.

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanHi,
with the VST3 standard, Steinberg removed the regular Program Change via MIDI🙄.
If you go into the EZkeys Settings of the VST3 version, you can still Enable Bank Select.
On Windows, this is harder to get around, since you cannot choose another format, like AU. Well, AAX exists on both Mac and Windows but it’s Pro Tools only.
Why not an EZkeys VST2 version?
Well, if I understand it correctly (I may be wrong but…) EZkeys 2 wasn’t created until after Steinberg stopped issuing VST2 licenses, so it’s not an option.

John

Thanked by: drumjack52Hi,
it is not required, no. SD3 can operate without any SDX installed e.g. if you only have EZX:s installed.

Hi,
SD3 does not have the same Grid Editor in Tap2Find as EZD3. Please feel free to make a request for this in the Requests & Feedback section.
However, if you want to pencil in a groove for Tap2Find in SD3 right now, you can just create a new empty block on the Song Track (create a new Song Track if your current one is busy) and hit ‘P’ to edit it in the Grid Editor. Pencil in the hits and then drag-and-drop this groove to the Tap2Find drop area.

John

Hi,
when you click Help > Operation Manual in the software, you are directed to the most current online manual and to the right of the first page is a ‘Print or save as PDF’ link.
