We have discovered and fixed a bug with the standalone in combination with certain audio interfaces. This will be included in a coming update, after 1.0.3!

In the meantime as a workaround – record into the tracker in a DAW (using the Toontrack Audio Sender plug-in) instead.

Ever since the EZbass the EZkeys keep going out of tune and giving me a weird effect sound when playing back in my song.

can you explain further? Is it because of the demo limits of EZkeys? Or do you feel that the tones are not tuned similar in EZbass and EZkeys?

Yes, we want all of our products to function as similar as possible. The problem is that some software is many years old, and some are brand new, and there will always be differences. We will try to smooth them out when possible.

One problem is that Superior Drummer 3 and EZbass is based on the same (new) platform, but our older programs (such as EZdrummer 2) has an older platform, which doesn’t allow us to do all the things we can now. Keyboard shortcuts, and resizing of windows, is some of the things we can use now, but hasn’t been possible before…

So, you started out with 120 in Studio One, and had Follow Host enabled – so EZbass was also 120 BPM. Then you changed the BPM in Studio One to 103, but EZbass stayed at 120 BPM?

The chords used in a major key signature, and its minor parallel (Am), are both using the same chords, so changing to the parallel key signature won’t change any chords on the song track. The MIDI you drag in to EZbass is analyzed and the chords will the same no matter if you have C major or A minor as the key signature.

Can you write us the chord sequence you get when dragging in the MIDI, and also write the chord sequence you want to be shown when changing to the parallel minor song key, so I can figure out what you want to happen? 🙂

Thanks guys – I got it!!!!

Any way to change the song section labels, after the fact?  I’m on a Mac.

See screen shot attached.  All my sections are called VERSE, and I’d like to organize and have the sections correlate to my LOGIC arrangement tabs.

    Thanks

right click the Song Part (verse), and change it to another Song Part type (Chorus for example).

Is the input meter showing anything when you play on your instrument?

This is important to know for us, since if it’s not registering any input audio in EZbass there’s a problem before EZbass in the audio chain somewhere…

We know that the save as audio feature is wanted by users, and we have it on our priority list of things to do!

I’m sorry to hear about the crashes of the software. We are focused on fixing those kinds of bugs at this stage, and that is one of the reasons save as audio hasn’t been implemented yet. Have you and the support team sorted out what the bug is yet?

Are you saying 1 octave samples were not recorded and the only way to do it is with a pitch bend of 1 octave? There is no way that would sound real.

the slides aren’t statically sampled, nor are they pitchbent sounds. They are dynamic and the sound depends of how you draw the MIDI notes, regarding speed, fret noise, string noise, etc.

Hello Toontracks Humans… I just bought EZBass today… THIS is a GREAT PRODUCT!… I have ONE silly quick NEWBIE Question… I’m on a Mac… Keyboard Controller Oxygen 49… HOW can I play each string ALL the Way UP and DOWN the Neck? I get about 4 notes and then it JUMPS to the NEXT string… (I know this is proper)… BUT… I just want to go on just ONE ENTIRE STRING at a time UP and DOWN all the way. CAN I do this?
Sorry this seems like such a moron question but I can’t figure this out.
    Thanx’s

Not a silly question at all 🙂 You can’t select strings to play manually, EZbass makes those selections for you.

I would suggest that you use two instances. However, you can add the Bass for the verse, then bounce the MIDI to audio. Then do the same with the chorus. Besides saving CPU/RAM, it’s really important from a song writing aspect to commit to different parts that you make. Or else you’ll end up tweaking the song until you’re sick and tired of it 🙂

Well, you mentioned one aspect of it: a user friendly software. There are 100’s of more functions that could have been implemented, and which we have discussed within the team, but we have drawn the line of where we think that the complexity of the features will make it worse (user-friendly-wise), vs what the gain of them are.

We want our users to make music in the easiest way possible, without having to think about all sorts of details, which really can kill the creativity. We wanted to make something that wasn’t already on the market, without sacrificing the quality of the sound. It’s impossible to create perfect software, but we want our users to be able to strive for making perfect music 🙂

Can’t you add things to your cart, and then click the Cart button (top right of the web site) to see what’s in it?
