    Thanks Henrik,
Most tutorials show a submix to one bus per group of tracks (inst/vox/fx). I been trying to figure out (being a novice) how to emulate some of the mixer presets
in S2 as they are not set up for multiout. Plus, I have a wider variety of plug ins at my disposal.

Any other comments or opinions are certainly welcome.

Try it. It won’t bite. You couldn’t write an entire song doing it but you could use it to make some interesting runs.

Thanks, I’ll definitely check them out.

I also mess around using the drum midi. You can get some viable and unusual patterns but it is not 100%.

Don’t know what IDK means. Yeah, but I am looking for a more classical/prog genre.

    Thanks

When I got EZP you got to download a free sample MIDI pack.
Some of the latin grooves proved to be very interesting using the Twisted kit.

I like mixing and matching grooves from different kits. Some are out and out duds, but others can really stand out.

Using grooves from the Twisted kit with Claustrophobic has yielded some pleasant reults as well.

Steinberg VB is discontinued. The only place I could find one for sale is at Amazon. There is one left in stock and I’m not not spending $200+ on discontinued software.

Broomstcick’s own website states that it is not compatible with IntelMac or Vista,so it is safe to say Win 7 isn’t either(let alone 64 bit).

Having said that I don’t see why someone couldn’t pick up where Stienberg left off.It does look like something TT could pull off (superiorly).

Keyfax is the only place where I have seen any MIDI bass grooves, and that is primarily only one pack. The only other bass grooves I can find are Acid loops, etc… If there are more I would love to know.

I watched the Trillian video demos and it looks like you have to be fairly competent on keyboards to justify it’s price tag.

Is there anything else out there that hasn’t been mentioned yet?

Excellent.I’m still fumbling with x-drums (mostly the microphone assignment aspect) and midi nodes and mapping.

In Twisted the fun box and body sounds are articulations as opposed to drop down choices. For me,it would be a lot less difficult to use those sounds if I could just change them with a drop down.

Out of the EZXs that I don’t have,Nashville seems to have the most variety.Classic is not available at the sales price,so that will be a future purchase.

    Thanks.

I purchased DKFH first then down the road bought TMF.Each are unique to themselves.Get them while you can.

At times GC also have the SDXs at 50% off so keep your eyes open.

First of all Chris I think all of you go above and beyond to produce an end product that is the highest of quality and as affordable as TT can make it.
If you would really add in the time and labor (I’m sure it is much more tedious than it looks) the price would be much higher.

The criticism towards you is unbelievably unwarranted.
The fact that you guys involve yourselves in a product that offers the availability of samples made in studios that the vast majority will never see, with equipment that we’ll never see (let alone use),with producers and engineers we could never afford…

I don’t see EZD as a cheaper product, just a less expensive one. I do believe more people own EZD than own S2,correct me if I’m wrong,so making more EZXs makes perfect sense to me.

I have no issues with my 3 EZXs in S2 and I’m quite happy with them.

    Chin up Chris.

+1 on the Groove 3.I have it and it is very helpful.Every bit worth the $29.

As to TT TV,why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free.I suppose though if they wanted to they could make them downloadable to registered customers.

I know a lot of (not all) retail outlets have a 30 day lowest price guarantee. If you buy something and then it goes on sale within 30 days of purchase, they will reimburse the balence.Guitar Center does this.
Having said that,a lower price is not the same as a different promotion. It is not as if Jan. was 20% off and Feb. was 50% off. Feb.was a completely different deal.

If they are going to start to have monthly promotional sales, then each month someone is going to be let down.
I understand exactly what you are saying, but, they are a business and will never be able to accomodate everybody all the time.

If you get to MacDonalds at 11:05 AM and not 11:00AM they won’t serve you breakfast.I know.

    Best to ya.

I know on at least one project I closed out S2 & EZP (in TTS) and then hit save before I relized what I did.So that’s on me.
Fotunately,I name my projects the same as my S2 presets AND I save any preset changes before I close out, always.

On another,I re-inserted the grooves I was using and it retained them.So once the new updates come out I will be better able to determine whether it was me or TTS.

I am having a similar with EZP and TT Solo.

Since the most recent update to EZP I have had some projects where the MIDI clips in EZP are retained and some where I get an error message,’Files could not be found or read’.

I wasn’t sure if maybe I had done something with the files by mistake (which is still a possibility) or an error occurred when updateing.

I’ll see after the next update.

I’m not sure on the procedure for merging kit pieces in the browser but I’ll go over the manual again.

I discovered the empyt tails after dragging fused clips back into the arranger. So it doesn’t(or at least hasn’t) edit the empty tail when D&D into the browser.I either re-record or just edit the “ghost tail” and re-D&D into the browser.
It’s nothing I’m going to commit Seppuku over.

In S2 when bouncing to audio you can have the setting to record-start at MIDI and it stops at the end of the clip.
Would it be possible,at some point,to have some type of record markers, similar to punch recording, that you could set up in a blank track to stop at the end of the clip?

I know you can do this in the DAW but working in TT Solo saves a huge ammount of resources.
