I know there is a thread around here somewhere that actually does address why some presets are hot.
You will have to do a search for it.If I come across it I’ll post a link for it.

If you find a preset you like but have to adjust the levels you can save that as a new preset (sec. 3.7 in the manual).

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Right beneath the faders in the S2 mixer are the db level readouts.

I did get the allow/cancel dialogue box and chose allow(no choice there really).

I have never had any problems saving presets, even after this.

I would still rather have Norton overly sensitive than not.Obviously it is not interfering with the function of S2 &EZP (at this point).
I am fully aware there is nothing malicious about TT.Having said that, the event did occur and I am just stating what happened.
People here have reported crashes, not responding,or other error problems.

    It may never happen again.

I’m sure at one time the same was said about drum samplers.
If Toontrack had the technology 10 years ago to make SD2 they wouldn’t have made EZ Drummer.

Cakewalk has Studio Instruments which has a bass sampler.I have only seen it demoed and it is minimal, but it can be done.To what extent…?

I think if anyone can pull it off it’s TT.
It could be an excellent compliment to EZD & SD2.

    ORIGINAL: Pim1961

Well the title says it all. There was Virtual Bassplayer from Steinberg; there is still Broomstick but that’s outdated to my opinion… Toontrack you can do it! 🙂 (and you can do it better than anone else)

Suggestions (in a non particular order) for SDX Packs:

    – Marcus Miller
    – John McVie
    – Paul McCartney
    – Robert Trujillo
    – Robbie Shakespeare

    Thanks!

    I second that!
Trying to play bass on a keyboard, especially when your not good at it,is a challenge.

I have Rudy Sarzo’s Working Man’s Bass From Sony’s Acid Loops. There are a lot of excellent bass grooves but they must have been recorded straight into the board and unprocessed because quite a number of them have the dreaded finger skeaks.
I don’t have the processors let alone the skill set to eq them to the point they are not noticable.

Anyway my list would be (In no particular order):

    Greg Lake
Tony Levin (A Chapman Stick SDX would be incredible)
    Rudy Sarzo
    Flea
    Les Claypool
    Cris Squire

I agree. Some of the Latin grooves that came with EZP sound very interesting with the Twisted kit.

That would also put a little extra coin in your pockets too.

    Just to chime in.
I have yet to have any problems with the TT TV.
The videos play fine with no glitches.
I have Comcast high speed cable internet.

You can also check out Twiddly Bits at http://www.keyfax.com/index.php/software/midi-samples.html?limit=all.

I have the Bill Bruford 3 Pack which is great.
I do believe they are more designed to load in your DAW and work with your sampler there.I know the Bill Bruford pack is multitrack and can act a little odd in EZ Player Pro.
They do not have a free sample pack and they are all $39.95 US dollars.

You might find something you like there.

    Best of luck.

You will find there are a lot of people here who will go to great lengths to help answer questions.
Also, check out the video tutorials on the main page if you have not already.

Hi and welcome top the forums.

You can go to http://www.oddgrooves.com/  and http://www.groovemonkee.com/en/.

Both have free sample packs with a wide variety of styles.
I have purchased from both and quite happy with them.

The closest thing you will find with TT is the Twisted Kit.
As far as the diversity I believe you might be looking for it may fall short.

You might want to do a web search for Foley artist sound libraries.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Check out the video tutorials on the main Toontrack page. They demonstrate the basic functions as well as the more advanced features.

S2 is a great product. It can be used straight out of the box for novices and has the needed features that someone in a top end studio would require. All in one package.

If you can not find your answer in a forum search, there are many here that can answer any of your questions.
