you are not 100% happy  with SDD3 and i would like to have SDD3 not thinking i would be happy for all the sounds too lol

so, if you want to stay with EZD 2 +EZX

With EZD2 +EZX (i have a lot of EZX), i would say

for the  80’s> rock ! and EZD2

for Bon jovi the 80’s >  try solid rock ezx or Hard rock EZX (Bob Rock) or with a good settings with EZD2 too

for green day, wait for the  pop punk EZX  (but you know Green day is band of  the 90’s not 80’s)

alt rock EZX has great natural snares : it’s a versatile pack

but for the kinds of snares (80’s)

>Metal ! ezx has a snare to play like in the 80’s

> Hard rock ezx too (think about Scorpions in 1984)

there are a lot of snares  : tight or loud and very natural -raw

i suppose we have all what we want

so, i wonder how the SDX can be useful

now, when i listen to the reggae EZX,  i think that  the snares can be good for rock’n’ roll

but the problem with some EZX and their snares is that they are not just made to reproduce some snares but

they are made to reproduce an energy, mood, ambiance (60’s, 70’s rock , 80’s) so, in the mix , it may not be perfect all the time

it was like that for big rock ezx and seventies rock ezx (it could sound very good without this dark mix)

that’s why people buy the SD3 : to have some natural sounds, raw sounds like  being in front of the drums  and it’s not always easy to have this sensation

with some EZX expansions

With EZD2, i have found a good method with the mixer

With some EZX, pop/rock is very versatile with the good settings

uk pop ezx is very good too to have a few raw snares

rock! is not so fantastic like i imagined in the beginning (except for the bass drums which sound very modern and good)

trad country ezx sound bad in the demos but with a man with his drums, it sounds incredible  ! “basic presets” but i have not this EZX
