Hello: I’m very frustrated by the lack of info on the product pages for the midi packs. Where can I go to get more info such as: styles, meters, number of patterns, etc. there’s literally no info on the product page to help with my decision. Thank you.

I also agree with this opinion of you, need to provide more information for buyers to understand more about the product.

I own and use EZ Keys2, EZ Drummer3 and EZ Bass and use them regularly on professional demos for primarily country. I would find it extremely helpful if there were an EZ Keys midi pack of piano standard turnarounds (1511, 1451, 1151, etc.) There are hundreds of standard turnarounds used in intros, bridges, and outros. Also a number of standard country, Rock, and Blues riffs in the upper register would be helpful.

    Thank you

I’m also looking for a pack of EZ Keys midi that includes the standard 1511 piano conversions. Any ideas?

There is a reason that drum skins are tunable, and why drummers of all genres and skill levels aspire to pitch correct them in the analogue world. If they were merely “percussive”, that wouldn’t be an option. Tuning plugins would not recognize them as melodic otherwise. I’ve also heard enough songs where the way certain drums were tuned affect the overall chord played in that song (Porcupine Tree – Blind House, for one). It makes perfect sense for Toontrack to incorporate a tool to determine the current tuning of surfaces that can be pitched. Unless I am mistaken, the whole point of plugins like SD2/3 is to create as real an experience as possible. It only makes sense, in this digital age, that we can come to that result in a more convenient way…

Yes, I concur. Why not provide them pre-tuned given that SD3 has the capacity to tune them? Most likely because doing so would cost money and time.

Yes, a good start would be a resizable interface, it is very difficult to work with EZkeys on account of the fixed resolution and awkward controls compared to the newer UIs the SD3, EZD3 and EZBass use. If EZkeys gets some love, Toontrack is positioned to be a strong alternative to Band-in-a-box which is so easy to work with. Toontrack offers better editing capabilities for actual tracking on account of the fantastic vsts and human performance midi packs. I am really looking forward to the day when I can track a whole rhythm section in an EZ interface… maybe something like EZ Studio? Or EZ Rythm? Or EZ Band? I’ve got lots more $$$ for you when you deliver Toontrack! 🙂

I was surprised to see EZ keys. In terms of functionality, it is so much behind EZ Bass that I thought it was very deceptive (almost criminal the way you presented it). I could have returned everything if I had purchased it all from Thoman in England. Things would be great if you upgraded EZEYS to the level of EZ BASS and EZDRUMS. It’s like if you first introduced EZ Keys as a brilliant, affordable tool, and then EZ Drums. You have advanced this past the simple one trick gadget with EZ Bass now. You have the building blocks for a strong toolkit, but you’re not exactly sure what you want to achieve.

    word wipe

First of all, love your Superior Drummer 3 product, both the SDX and EZX lines.

But maybe its time to make another approach to the expansion lines since its very much the same.
I like the idea with the famous producer expansions, but what about making expansions with famous drummer?

GGD drums has just done it with Benny Greb:
    Benny Greb Signature Pack

And its a great idea, since a lot of famous drummer has a very recognizable sound. eg. Dave Weckl, Simon Phillips, Peter Erskine, Benny Greb, Steve Gadd, Jojo Mayer, Vinnie Colaiuta, Steve Jordan etc.. the list is long.

invite them into a studio, and let them play on their normale kit.

I know you have done a EZX expansions with Ash Sloan, but that is as a producer, and actually its not the same sound as if you hear him play in his studio on several YouTube clips.

    Just my 2 cent😊

Right! Given how many well-known drummers have instantly distinctive sounds, it’s a fantastic concept
