The only thing I can think to try is uninstall EZD2 and then reinstall the Full Product Installer, then the 2.2.1 update.

ok, now I am having a “The Installation Fail” message when I do that.

For which install? EZD2 2.2.1 update or the Gospel EZX?

Can you try running the 2.2.1 update again (not the 2.1.8) and then try installing the Gospel EZX from Product Manager?

Does your EZD2 interface show version 2.1.8 or the latest version 2.2.1?

“Regular” version is for those users that don’t have any other EZkeys sound packs. “Expansion” is for those that already have one or more EZkeys sound libraries. It’s the cheaper option if you already own a sound library

No I am not using audio tracks, only a number of midi tracks. Sorry, I thought I could select from a list of VST instruments but now I see it only work on audio tracks. Can you please refund me?

It will work on a VST Instrument track also. What VST Instruments are you using? If you have say, EZD2, you can put EZmix2 on the Instrument output channel and process it.

If you need to request a refund and b you purchased from the ToontrackWebshop, you’ll need to contact Toontrack directly via the Contact Support button in the FAQ below.

Hi, I get no sound from Reaper. Using ASIO.  I have a number of midi tracks and normally any VST will work fine. Also downloaded your EZdrummer demo and that works. I have searched everywhere and I cannot find a solution. It shows a yellow bar when playing the midi file when I select an instrument from EZmix. I have checked all midi inputs and outputs and all looks fine. Please help. I have just purchased EZmix today.

How are you using EZmix2? Are you inserting it on an audio track? Sending multiple audio channels to it via and aux bus? Processing a live guitar using it as an amp simulator?

EZmix2 won’t make any sound by itself, it is an effects processor and amp simulator.

    Hi Scott, yes there was!

And it now seem to sorted in that area! Many thanks!

To be honest I did not know about this drop down (still on a learning curve here)

Can you please explain why this would have happened so I understand what I can look out for in the future?

If you’re using an edrum kit with an e-hi hat pedal, the pedal sends CC4 data to control the open-ness. The separate open1,2,3,4,etc articulations aren’t used. Those separated articulations are used for hand programming and not e-drumming.

Is there any Data in the CC4 lane?

If you’re using an edrum hi hat pedal you are probably sending CC4 messages to control the hi hat open/closed position. You’ll need to edit the cc message lane in the S3 Grid Editor to adjust the open/closed value.

See the manual link below to see how to edit.

Why is there still no reply to this almost two years later? I would like to be able to use that which I have purchased.

The C&V SDX (and a couple of the original SDXs) was released when S2 was around and not S3. When the producers created the few included presets at the time, they used some of the S2 sounds as X-drums layered with the SDX sounds. Since at the time, everyone that purchased the SDX had to have S2 installed and, thus, the sounds needed for the presets to load, there wasn’t an issue.

Flash forward to now. There are users that have never previously had S2 and only S3. If they purchase C&V (or the b older SDXs) now, some of the presets won’t load because the S2 sounds aren’t installed.

Personally, if I was Toontrack, I would remove those presets from the installer and remove the problem. But I’m not and have no way in such matters. I’m just a forum tech.

I wish I had a better answer because, as a forum tech, its my job to have solutions, but I just don’t have one in this case. The sounds library and MIDI both work 100 percent. It’s just a few of the presets that won’t load without the S2 (Avatar 1) sounds.

Thanks. So could I still use the SD3 effects on a per channel basis? Basically use the SD3 mixer features against all the EZX mixer channels?

Of course. You can use the S3 mixer effects as well. You can also use the multi out routing in EZD2/S3 to send channels to your DAW and use your DAW plugins.
