    so, @Scott, this is really real? I sell a drum MIDI pack for 15 EUR and I will have to pay 15 EUR for the license transfer?

    If this is real I will have to change all my reviews and explicitly mention this fact in all my videos about Toontrack products 🙁 Personally, I think it is inappropriate that there is a fee at all.

    As good and as much fun as the Toontrack stuff may be, 15 EUR per transaction is not a reasonable proportion. 😉

    I can no longer recommend buying Toontrack products as I recently learned that there is a 15 euro / dollar fee to be paid when reselling a license. Toontrack calls it a “license transfer fee”. Great products, great forum, but that’s a really crappy topic. Sorry! This is an important point to keep in mind if you are planning on purchasing a Toontrack product.

    Fortunately, that doesn’t really concern me at the moment. But as mentioned before, I have at least two drum MIDI packs that are identical to the MIDI of the expansions. Why should I keep the MIDI packs that I bought much earlier than the EZXs? Doesn’t make sense, does it? 😉

    Yes. Information regarding Toontrack’s license transfer process and policy can be found here: https://www.toontrack.com/faq/transfer-of-license-and-multiple-installs-important-information/

    Scott,

    Which of the following topics would be correct to use in this case? If I choose “license transfer”, which of my 77 serial number should I choose?

    I tried to choose “Toontrack Account Issue”, but it fails and tells me “You did not choose a product”. But there was no field to choose product.

    I can’t choose “License Transfer” since that just starts a license transfer request.

    I would choose other and select any product as you appear to be looking for a discussion about policy.

    The “details” are $15 per item.  Am I missing a “detail”?

    Does $15 for a midi pack seem fair to you?

    I’ve got EzKeys and Reaper setup (latest versions). I am hoping to be able to utilize EzKeys voices while editing in Reaper; can I internally map/link EzKeys with Reaper to do that? I’m a bit confused on the hosts vs standalone… “Note that the ‘MIDI Out’ function is only available in select hosts and is not available in Standalone operation and as a result the ‘Enable MIDI Out’ entry pictured above will be greyed out in those scenarios.”

    thanks

    Reply To: EZ Keys MIDI OUT is Grayed Out version: 1.3.1

    You can use EZkeys two different ways.

    Standalone version launches by itself and is meant to playing sounds via a MIDI keyboard or using the Song Track to construct a keyboard track. But, if you are using EZkeys with a DAW and want to use a DAW MIDI editor and build a track up with other instrumentation, you’ll want to load EZkeys in your DAW as a plugin. You can’t use standalone and a DAW at the same time because they can’t sync.

    You load EZkeys in your DAW like you would load any virtual instrument. If not sure how, check your DAW manual on specifics as they all operate slightly different.

    Thanks for the very quick response Scott. I do appreciate the timely replies above.

    I still do not have the products that I paid for. I have not heard anything from support. I cannot recommend purchasing through toontrack store.

    Product = 10/10
    Support = 0/10
    Total = 0/10

    Even with an awesome product, you cant make our customers feel cheated. I likely would have bought more expansions, but this is not good business.

    I love the superior drummer product – but I cannot just give money away and get nothing in return. I do not want a refund or dispute the charge, I want the product I paid for. Unfortunately, Ive spent money that is ignored and I don’t have support, and I don’t seem to have options.

    $399 + $358 = $757  Customers cant get support? Who do I need to talk with?  Because I am not an influencer, youtuber, or famous artist – I cant get assistance?

    Is anyone at Toontrack willing to repair the issue? I should be making music instead of this.

    I understand that problems happen. How we handle them and move forward is what is important.

    I understand the frustration. I’m doing what I can to facilitate a solution. I’ve contacted Toontrack Support directly and have been told there is a order system bug and it’s being worked on. In the mean time they are having to manually release/assign serial numbers for every product registration. I’ve pinged support again just now it see why yours hasn’t been taken care of yet.

    I have the same problem. Bought an SDX fro the web shop whilst logged in to my account. Purchase successfully processed. Email acknowledgement received (but no serial number included). SDX not present in my product list on the web site or in Product Manager. I would very much like to be able to install the SDX asap.

    Thanks

    Mark

    I’ve also forwarded support that you are having the same issue. I’m sorry for the inconvenience.

    I’ve just purchased the Alt-Rock grooves MIDI pack I’ve tried installing from the product manager and directly from the website but still the downloaded MIDI pack installer says “The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information.”

    Can anyone offer any help please?

    thanks

    Toontrack MIDI packs require a Toontrack sampler like EZD2 and S3 to load. I believe that is why you are getting that message.

    Us forum Technical Advisor have no idea on upcoming releases and are barred from sharing any knowledge if we did. Toontrack keeps releases close to the vest I’m afraid.

    My first question is: what is your workflow? Are you using the EZD2 Song Track to arrange the drums? The Reaper MIDI editor? Both?

    If you are using the Song Track and then dragging and dropping that to the Reaper MIDI Track, you would be playing 2 tracks of the same MIDI at the same time. The result is a flanging sound as the samples are picked and played back for both. If you do have MIDI on the Song Track and Reaper track at the same time, disable Follow Host in EZD2.

    Other than that, I can’t wager a guess with the info provided.

    According to the “fine print” in the promotion, it looks like the bundles are excluded from the free offer.

    “The EZmix 2 Lite Upgrade (TT251) and all EZmix 2 bundle variations are excluded from this promotion.”
