Hi, I have EZdrummer 2.2.3 installed on macOS (M1) with Cubase 12 Pro, but the VST3 plugin was never installed. It does not appear in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3, and it’s not listed as an installable component in Toontrack Product Manager either. I can only see VST2, AU, AAX and Standalone.
Can you please provide me with the VST3 plugin file or help me manually install it?
Thank you!
Matias Vidal
EZD2 was discontinued in 2022 and supported VST2 but not VST3.
The latest version, EZD3 supports VST3.

Hi,
I bought and registered Ezmix 2 on Oct 31, 2022. Your website shows me as having no registered products. I bought several packages that day and registered them all. I would like to maybe do an upgrade to Ezmix 3 but don’t know the cost.
Allan
My guess is that you have your products registered to an account with another email address. If so, please log into the Toontrack Product Manager using your other email.

How are you having trouble? Have you downloaded the Toontrack Product Manager and tried authorizing through there? Please provide more details about your trouble.

I’ve spent a small fortune on Toontrack products. Today I...I’ve spent a small fortune on Toontrack products. Today I decided to put larger drives on because windows gave BSOD after an update, I deactivated all my EZ Bass activations because I knew they wouldn’t work and now I find that there is only a certain amount of activations you can have. SO YOU ARE NOT BUYING THESE PROGRAMS YOU ARE ONLY RENTING THEM. WHAT A RIP OFF. TOONTRACK WILL BE GETTING NO MORE OF MY MONEY. Have you ever tried contacting their support desk it’s bloody impossible. You used to be able to contact them but now you just go round in circles.

I’ve removed all inactive authorizations. You should be all set.
Btw, the authorization system is set to automatically remove inactive authorizations over time for our customers. So they don’t have to contact Toontrack Support to clear authorizations often if ever.
However, it’s not set up to handle 3 computer system re-authorizations for a product in a week.

Thanked by: jeff gnatekSimple question. Is a VST3 version of EZDrummer2 going to be released? A simple Yes (and when) or No will suffice.
I have currently rigged Cubase 14 (on Windows 11) to see my remaining VST2 plugins but all indications are that this will not be the future. Am I forced to pay to upgrade my EZDrummer2 or go elsewhere?
Thanks
Keith C.
Since the EZD3 release in 2022, there hasn’t been nor will there be further updates released for EZdrummer 2.

I use smoothing when doing snare rolls in the Orchestral SDX.

You don’t mention your DAW but does your host support dragging and dropping from host to a plugin? Very few support that.

If you have 2 exactly the same kit pieces loaded playing exactly the same MIDI hits and velocity, what you hear as phasing is probably the humanizing features (round robin) sample picking.
It’s similar as when you have the exact same MIDI in the Song Track and in your DAW and have Follow Host enabled. You get a chorus/phasing sound.
If you vary the MIDI velocities, does it phase? If you adjust the timing slightly, does it phase?
I guess I’m unsure of why you have 2 exactly the same toms loaded and have exactly the same MIDI sent to each of them. You’re thus triggering the same sample pools and the humanizing features will make it sound like phasing.

thank you for your answer.
There are two tons routed to different channels, I one left and the other right. On the grid editor when they are “played” at the same time, I get this phase sound. Does this sound like it could still be playing the same MIDI?
I don’t know. Are you sending or playing the same MIDI through both toms at the same time?
You say “played at the same time” which seems to indicate yes, you are sending the same MIDI to both toms at the same time.

Are both toms playing the exact same MIDI? Phasing could be that the round robin sample picking is different for each and sounds like phasing.

Also, what instrument is phasing? Are we talking about drum hits or are the cymbals “phasing” because they are physically moving after being hit?
