Are you using Garageband or Logic?

If so, this is because of a setting in your host.

Close the plug-in window.

Go to Preferences > General (> Accessibility tab in Logic) and uncheck the box “Open plug-ins in Controls view by default”

Open the plug-in again.

When you use the Show Web Shop MIDI feature, you can preview Toontrack’s for-purchase MIDI packs that you don’t currently own on toontrack.com. An internet connection is necessary to access this feature. By clicking this button, you will see a new header in the file browser section of the Grooves page called “Online Add-On Packs.” In addition, search filters related to the online libraries will be included in the filters section and indicated by a blue dot on their left.

In the results section, all webshop grooves will feature a web icon positioned to the left of their name.

It’s important to note that webshop MIDI files are exclusively for preview purposes and cannot be dragged to the Song Track or exported from EZkeys 2. They serve to provide the user with an opportunity to make better-informed purchasing decisions.

Yes, that is correct.

The administrative fee needs to be completed for each serial number you want to transfer.

The dots you see is the MIDI preview, it displays a small preview of the MIDI notes in the groove.

If you right-click at the top of the grooves window, you can select what is displayed in the grooves tab. MIDI is the MIDI preview, you can uncheck that to not display the preview anymore.

Logic should present a message asking you if you want to keep the tempo of the MIDI file or use the current project tempo. Sometimes it is easy for this Logic notification to be closed (and even told not to show again in Logic).

In order to help ensure this notification appears when dragging in MIDI, please reset the Logic notifications via the Preferences

LOGIC PRO > Preferences > General > Notifications > Reset All Warnings

The next time you drag in MIDI it should ask you if you want to keep the tempo or continue using the project tempo.

You need to add the instrument (tambourine, shaker, one shot, etc) to your kit first. If not, there is no instrument available to play the MIDI notes.

Note that EZmix 2 is VST2 only, not VST3, VST2 plug-ins will only run in Cubase 13 in Rosetta mode on Apple Silicon Mac computers.

The easiest way would probably be to download and install the software itself from the Product Manager application. You can transfer Sound Libraries, expansions, and MIDI packs to an external hard drive if you have many products, so you don’t have to download/install them all again.

Your Core sound libraries and expansions are located here by default in the EZdrummer, EZbass, and EZkeys folders:
Mac: HD>Library>Application Support
Win: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Toontrack\ or C:\Program Files\Common Files\Toontrack
