    Hi,

I’m unable to make EZdrummer 3 crash here on my end using Mojave 10.14.4 and Ableton Live 10.1.42.

I can’t find any support ticket in our inbox with a crash report for this issue. Are you able to attach a ZIP archive with the crash log here?

If there are any crash logs, they should be found in: ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/

Open Finder, click Go > Go to Folder and paste in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/ to get to that folder.

Find any crash log file there with EZdrummer 3 or Ableton in its name, right-click and compress the file into a ZIP, then attach it in a reply here and we’ll investigate.

    Hi Andi,

The development team is aware of this issue and they are looking at solutions. We appreciate the feedback! Right now, you can view the old EZX PDF key mappings in the sound library folder of each EZX (default location for Mac: Mac HD > Library > Application Support > EZDrummer PC: C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesToontrackEZDrummer).
    EZX_key_mapping_location

In EZD3, you can view the current mapping configuration for each instrument in Settings > E-Drums > Mapping.
    e-drums_mapping

More about the E-Drums settings in the manual.

Yes, to be able to load the EZdrummer 2 core library in EZdrummer 3, you need to install the EZdrummer 2 Core library EZX.

    Hi,

Yes you can, please take a look at the Relocating your EZdrummer sound libraries part of the manual for a step-by-step guide on how to do that in Settings > Libraries/Paths.

“You cannot use instruments from the EZdrummer 3 core library in EZdrummer 2. But he can use the EZD2 Metal preset inside EZD3 and grab a drum or cymbal from the EZD3 library”

Great. EZD3 will recognize the EZD2 kits even without needing to buy the eventual EZD2 Core Library expansion packs and despite being a separate install.

    Perfect.

    Hi Mark,

The EZdrummer 2 core library EZX is required to be able to load EZdrummer 2 presets/instruments in EZdrummer 3.

EZdrummer 3 will not, by itself, include any sounds or presets from EZdrummer 2.

    Petter,

    Thanks.

Viktor wrote:  “The two sound libraries from The EZD2 core library will be available as expansion packs to be used in EZdrummer 3

All EZXs will also work in EZdrummer 3.”

Is that correct? Will the core EZD2 libraries eventually be released as an EZX?

Yes. The EZD2 core libraries Modern & Vintage are going to be available as an EZX come EZdrummer 3 release. If you purchase EZdrummer 2 right now during the EZD3 pre-order promotion, you will get access to that EZX and a free upgrade to EZdrummer 3 on May 3rd.

If I own EZD1, will there be any way to purchase the EZD2 core library as an EXZ, if I upgrade to EZD3?  If so, what will the price of that EZD2 core library ezx be?

The EZD2 core library EZX will be available for purchase. More info, like the exact pricing, will be available soon. Stay tuned!

    Hi,

You can export audio from Superior Drummer 3 to separate audio files and keep it synced to your DAW even with tempo changes if you use a tempo map. When you are exporting, make sure to turn Follow Host off and instead import the tempo map from a MIDI file that you exported from your DAW.

Note that the MIDI needs to be in the Superior Drummer 3 Song track for that to work. There are other ways of recording SD3 in your DAW so that each channel gets printed to an audio track if you are only editing MIDI in your DAW and not using the song track or grid editor inside SD3. How that is done and if that is possible depends on the DAW that you are using.
