    Hi,

Here is a video on how I did it… https://www.dropbox.com/s/zreo4l6qo8s2luv/2022-12-05%2014-22-29.mp4?dl=0

You DO NOT have to have dropbox to watch this…just “X” out the pop-up screen and hit the link again….

I tried using the Transpose function on an imported midi file.

If I set the Key before dropping the midi file on the track, it transposes the chords by an interval that makes no sense.

For example I have a bass line in Eminor.  If I import it with the key set to C, the midi plays correctly, although some assigned chords are wrong.  The difference is C major to Eminor, a third or sixth depending on how you look at it.

If I set the key to Eminor and drop the file on the track, it transposes the file to Bminor, a fifth away, which makes zero sense.  It still assigns the wrong chords.

If I rewrite the chords, the midi is transposed to wrong notes.

Leave the key at the key of C. Then drag or import midi in and scroll down to NO TRANSPOSE. It opens another KEY menu, then choose your Key that you wrote it in. 👌

    Hi,

But I’ve been using EZ DRUMMER, EZ Keys and EZBASS for Years on all the updated Versions and This is still an issue…I’m actually creating EZKEYS midi and then trying to import it into EZBASS in the same key E Maj, BUT it IMEDIATELY changes the chords. If I set EZBASS to C Maj and import midi it stays in the right chords?? So I’m now in a totally different key and if I want to make changes to the midi in EZBASS I have to mentally transpose….What am I mising here Plz?

    Thx, Jeff

SOLVED: Go to the TRANSPOSE menu at the bottom of Key list

    Hi greg54,

It definitely sounds like a sample you could A. Capture the intro and make it a sample from the YouTube song or B. If you have the electronics kit or any snare possibly you might be able to tune it way up and add some reverse reverb. Or even scan the internet for ’80s snare samples.. hope that helps (-: Jeff

Hi all, just got EZD3 – love the grooves and want to use them as a backing tracks for live performance (just me and my guitar) just loop the groove

I’d like to be able to have a groove playing as a backing track rather than a structured song as I find this too limiting and if you get lost during a live performance well… you know.

Is there a way i can copy and rename a groove without having to create a project for every song? (maybe 60 songs)

ideally, i’d just like a list of  grooves (renamed to the song) – select song and off we go

I don’t want to have to spend 5 minutes between songs looking lost or like i’m writing code.

Coming out of laptop audio into volume pedal so i can control my drummer or at least make him behave nicely.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Cheers

    Phil

Also Phil, you could record the drums on your DAW (reaper is free until you you can pay for it $65), and they would be easily accessed, named, tempo, intros ect…. No glitches, latency or fumbling around looking for the song Groove.

Not solved over here. Can someone share how they fixed this? 32GB of RAM, i7.

EDIT: Just to clarify one or two things in case this is a different issue:
The Graphical display in Grid Editor is moving Faster than the audio. That is to say the playhead is actually moving quicker than the audio and is roughly a beat ahead of what I’m hearing, whilst the audio remains in time with the rest of the session. It’s the weirdest thing. I tried disabling all plugins and all other tracks… This wasn’t happening even just a few days ago. I turned off element bleed, ambient mics, still the same issue.

Reply To: Graphical lagging in grid mode version: 3.2.7
    Operating system: Windows 10

    Hi,

What usually solves this is putting your SD3 track on record and it follows along perfectly.

Using EZMix on the master bus, what does the attack variable mean in this one? Smaller percentage = faster attack? Or the opposite?

I think it means more limiting. Look at your meters to see if they are decreasing (more limiting) or increasing (less limiting) when dialing that knob

    Hi,

I have asked my colleagues but if you follow this link:

    https://www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-contact-support/

and click the ‘Contact Support’ button, what happens? You should get a pop-up window asking for your details.

    BR,
    John

Thank you John, the link is working now. Also the support team did get back to me. I will post the results after we finish.

    Hi again Jeff,

I am running your Reaper Project here in Reaper 6.34 with SD3.2.5. I have tried changing different settings and combinations of screens but I simply can’t provoke the freezing meters and the Grid Editor’s out of sync playhead.

Have you been in contact with Toontrack Support yet?

    BR,
    John

    Thx John,

It seems the support link will not let me contact them. I’ve been trying since the last time you had mentioned it.

BTW, I’m using dual screens if that makes a difference…

Could you either pass this along or see if the link has been updated yet?

    Regards, Jeff
