Does the read/ write speed matter much on an external drive?   I am running a Mac laptop 2020 on Ventura 13.0.1

Did you get it to work?   when I try to load any of my Toontrack instruments all I get is a black box with the name of the plug-in… but zero usability… I have version 10.4.4 on a Mac running Monterey v. 12.0.1.
