If it is loading in Standalone, you have more than likely installed it correctly.

Makes sure that “Enable Audio Units” is checked in the Audio/MIDI prefs. Pending that, delete your AU Cache and re-launch GarageBand. Otherwise, you should be able to find it as per the attached screenshot.

    Hope this helps

Did you get it to work?   when I try to load any of my Toontrack instruments all I get is a black box with the name of the plug-in… but zero usability… I have version 10.4.4 on a Mac running Monterey v. 12.0.1.

I will tell you the best way to introduce your Superior Drummer 3 in garageband reorder the drummer track into a product instrument track to transform it into MIDI notes. Go down into the Piano Roll/Smart Controls subsequent to hitting “P” or “B” on your console so you can alter the timing, speed, type, and impact of each note independently.

Isolating Each Part of the Drum Kit Into Different Track Regions
    1) Copy and Paste the Drummer Track Into a Software Instrument Track
    2) Click on the Corresponding Key in the Piano Roll to Grab a Specific Part of the Kit
    3) Repeat this Process Until You’ve Created the Entire Kit
