Thanks for sharing and your patience, a weird hardware issue but when you mention it, I think I have actually heard of it elsewhere.

Hi,
not being able to load your Project due to all you User samples missing (hundreds, I think?) makes it harder to help in troubleshooting but I still would say you have a routing problem.
If samples were missing in some way, you would get an error message and be prompted to locate them, just like we do in this thread when we try to load your Project.
You are using SD3 in a rather unique way with so many X-Instruments, user Instruments/samples and Stacks from different libraries, rooms and available microphones plus your own samples so it would be easy to get lost.
Please bear in mind that if you have saved a User Instrument with one Library loaded as base with a set of X-drums and X-mics, doesn’t mean that loading the same User Instrument in another set up library, X-drums+mics, etc. will yield the same results. It can indeed be (partly) silent, if the current setup differs from the previous one.
Loading a User Instrument doesn’t create new Mixer Channels.
Also, if we take e.g. Instrument 17 in your Project, the ‘Main’ sample articulation which you have set to be triggered between 0 and 1 in Velocity is routed to ‘Racktom 3’ but all the 74 Stack Members are routed to ‘None’. Just Routing the Main will not route the other Stack Members, since Stack Members can have totally different routings. That said, when your Main is routed to ‘Racktom 3’, ‘Auto-assign’ is your friend for the other members.

Hi,
SD3 is clearly trying to load the EZdrummer 3 Core Library so you must have the library still on your computer. Please start with opening the Product Manager app and see if you can Uninstall it from there. If it lists as Installed but with no option to Uninstall, you may have to download the Installer again, since the Uninstaller is part of the Installer package.
If this doesn’t work, please open the finder and go to {Mac HD}/Library/Application Support/EZdrummer/ and see if you have any of these folders there:
EZX3_EZdrummer3_BrightRoom
EZX3_EZdrummer3_MainRoom
EZX3_EZdrummer3_TightRoom
If so, Delete them and restart SD3 to see if this remedies the problem.

Hi Rich,
moving the Velocity & Dynamics sliders in the Grid Editor affects the currently selected Notes. It is not a general setting for the plugin, so yes you will hear a difference in playback but it has nothing to do with the Mixer and/or Multi-Out.

Thanked by: MauricioLuqueHi Scott,
I’ve just bought Superior drummer 3 through Thomann.
I did receive a code(20 digis), but not a 5 digit code you need in the product manager.
What can I do?

Operating system: Windows 10
Hi, when you register a new product in the Product Manager app, there are 5 fields where you are supposed to enter 4 digits in each; 5×4=20.

Hi,
you need to click the ‘Edit Visibility’ button to Show All Channels in the Mixer. Then you will see the ‘Melodic’ channel (not the Bus which you can see in your view of the Mixer) that has got a Multi-FX Insert on it. Since it’s an EZX Multi-FX, there’s not much you can do with it but turn it off.

Thanked by: DJ AstrofreqHi,
the left lever is Sostenuto and the right is Sustain.
The rest should be cosmetic, no hidden stuff.

Thanked by: csweeney171Hi,
how are you adding the Shaker and how are you searching for MIDI for it?
If you Add the Shaker via the ‘Add Instrument > Future Hit Instrument > Shaker’ menu, it is added as a Future Hit Shaker Pad.
This type of Instrument cannot be triggered as a regular Instrument. If you Search for Grooves for this Instrument, you will have to Filter the Power Hand column for ‘Shaker Pad’ grooves.
If you have Groove Block on the song Track, you can select the Shaker Pad in the Edit Play Style page and turn the ‘Amount’ knob to get hits added.
If you Edit in the Grid Editor, the Future Hit Shaker Pad would be named ‘Shaker’ not Instrument 1. If you expand the ‘Shaker’ Row in the Grid Editor, you see all the different articulations.
If you have added the Shaker as a regular Instrument (Alt/Option+R), it would be called ‘Instrument 1’ in the Grid Editor. This Instrument would be triggered as a regular Instrument but can’t be expected to get the same “realistic” results if you add hits in the Edit Play Style page as with a Future Hit Instrument.
If you Search for Grooves, it’s not guaranteed you will hear this Shaker played back as intended, since it depends on the assigned MIDI notes.
E.g. if I load the Latin Cuban Percussion EZX in SD3 and Search for a ‘Shaker’ Power Hand grooves, I can find grooves that sound as expected. Now, when I add a Shaker from the same EZX to my already loaded Hansa SDX kit, the MIDI assignments are already in place and the added Shaker doesn’t “steal” the main note assignments for the drum kit but gets suggested notes outside of the core range. Hence Shaker MIDI grooves will most likely trigger drums instead. These Shaker grooves can of course be dragged to the Song Track anyway and you can transpose the notes in the Grid Editor.
In my example with a Shaker from the LCP EZX that has got many articulations, I can still assign it to a Future Hit Stack note number (7) to utilise all the articulations the same way but then it would be better to just add it as Future Hit Shaker Pad in the first place.
Does this clarify somewhat?

John

Hi,
if you have both EZkeys 2 and EZbass windows open at the same time and they are slightly overlapping, you can drag MID from the EZkeys 2 Song Track to both the EZbass Song Track (which will then ask you if you wish to Import Tempo and Time Signature) and the ‘Drums & Keys’ page.
You can also drag from EZkeys 2 or EZbass to EZdrummer 3 in the same manner. All of them can Import Tempo from MIDI files and EZbass can also read Chords from an EZkeys 2 Project.

John
