Hi,
if I follow you correctly, isn’t the ‘Auto-Load’ button what you are looking for? If you run a groove in loop, hit Alt/Option+R to replace e.g. the Snare and have ‘Auto-Load’ Enabled, you will hear it in place when selected. If you don’t like what you hear when you exit Replace, hit Undo.

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanHi,
you can only load parts from saved Presets (such as the Mixer) between Presets (Factory + User) based on the same Library. The amount and type of microphones used in each library differs greatly, so Microphone/Mixer routings between libraries would be very hard to implement, I guess.

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanHi,
the Grid Editor should be disabled while recording. There is no advantage having the Grid Editor open while recording to the Song Track (which is what you are doing).
Does it make any difference if you just have the DRUMS page open while recording to the Song Track?

John

Hi,
I may be misunderstanding your workflow but when I load e.g. the Meistersaal and then ‘Alt/Option+R’, clear the current Instrument type and Search for ‘Rototom’ Instrument, I get all I have installed as returns (the picture shows exclamation marks for some, they’re on a disconnected drive).
I can choose to load and replace one of the current Instruments or Add as New Instrument. Do you mean that this does not work for you?

Thanked by: PJSBut isn’t the PreSonus Universal Control software for your hardware and what you need?

Yeah, it pretty much renders it useless for cymbals; it is very annoying. I am going to have to record my own cymbals. Gating it helps but it cuts the sustain.
Hi, you are welcome to elaborate; what exactly is rendering it useless for cymbals? Do you have any audio examples? If you do, please save a copy of the SD3 Project, zip compress and attach to a post here. And/or your DAW Project (without audio files).

Hi,
a Google Search returns quite a lot of results, so it seems this kind of problem has been around for a while with hearing FX in Reaper while playing back the Project but the rendered file(s) not sounding the same.
I can only recommend making sure you are on the latest version of Reaper, trying to render at 1x online speed (real-time) and at full quality WAV, in case you have bounced to MP3.
Have you tried asking about this in the Reaper Forums?

Hi, it seems my memory fooled me. No Count-in sticks in Roots SDX. BTW, Singer-Songwriter EZX has three different flavours: 5A, 5B and 7A

Thanked by: Andi SaitenhiebHi,
it has nothing to do with SD3 but more your system and audio hardware. I am on Mac myself, so the built-in CoreAudio makes this easier.
Does your audio interface have some kind of internal mixer and routing software? You need to find a way to route the output(s) of your applications to an input (probably a virtual one) without getting feedback.

Hi,
Does Custom & Vintage have sticks count-in?
; yes, it does, as does the Music City SDX and the Singer-Songwriter EZX.
I am unsure about the Roots SDX, memory says it has but I haven’t got Roots installed on my mobile setup, so I can’t check right now.

Thanked by: Andi SaitenhiebHi,
I just tried opening a saved Project, as well as creating a new in Logic 11.0.1 and had no problem selecting a drum and then pitching it with the Tuning knob.
Perhaps you could record this strange behaviour with QuickTime? And/or save a copy of your Project (without any audio files), zip compress it and attach to a post here?

Hi,
have you restarted SD3/your DAW?
You can try ‘Restore MIDI Database’ in the Settings > Advanced.

Hi,
hit ‘Cmd+,’ or go to the ‘Toontrack Product Manager > Settings’ menu. There you can change the Download location and Move finished and paused Downloads to this new location.
SDX Libraries can be moved in the Finder with their folder structure intact and then pointed to in the SD3 Settings or the Product’s Details in the Product Manager.
