Can you purchase things online on other sites? Some banks have a setting for enabling/disabling online shopping with the VISA card for example.

How much latency do you have in Logic? E.g. what buffer size are you running? This will affect this perceived difference between the timing of SD3 vs Logic.

We have implemented this in Superior Drummer 3 and will add this to future products. Unfortunately, we can’t currently add this to existing products like EZdrummer 2 or EZkeys since they are built on an older platform for VST.

You can control the chokes of cymbals in many ways in SD3.

    • You can have that sound that muting does, the small “ring”. It’s called Mute Tail in SD3.
      • How the Mute Tail articulation is enabled is decided in the property box for mute tail triggers.
        • By default it’s triggered by Aftertouch
          • This is controlled in the area beneath the MIDI notes in the Grid Editor
        • Can be changed to being triggered with note length, so when the note ends the cymbal is choked
          • If you select this, you can right click that instrument in the Grid Editor and select “Show Length” to control the chokings.
    • You can also just fade out the sound
      • In the Level Envelope, click the Release dot and select what should trigger it; Aftertouch or Note Off. Then you can control in the same way as described above in the Grid Editor.

Please reply back here if you need further assistance, since it’s a lot of information 🙂

There is probably some Bank or Preset select MIDI messages being sent to EZdrummer 2 that does this. These are used for changing library/preset when using a MIDI keyboard.

To disable this feature, go to Menu > Settings > MIDI Events and disable Allow MIDI Program Change

EZdrummer 2 sounds like the right tool for you, since it’s designed for songwriters, and focus is that it should be easy to use!

In the future, you can upgrade to Superior Drummer 3, when you feel like you want more detailed control of the sound and MIDI editing.

BTW, where could the more button be found close to?

In the top middle part above the drum kit is the More button, just right of the drop down menu where the instrument is changed.

Also, is there a midi learn function for drum pads? I thought there was.

This is easiest handled in Settings / MIDI IN/E-drums, and you can use MIDI learn. This is where the mapping for different e-drums/pads is handled. The mapping you make here can be saved as a preset.

I have replied in the other thread you started – https://www.toontrack.com/forums/topic/floating-electronic-pads/#post-2399624.

Keep the replies there, or else it’s hard to follow the discussion 🙂
