In Product Manager’s settings you can change the download path.

It will perfectly by having the sounds on an external SSD.

When you click the interface, the velocity of the hit is pretty high (almost max). When you hit your e-drums with “normal power”, the hits are probably around 80-100 or something like that. I don’t know how your e-drums works, but you should be able to set the sensitivity so that a loser hit is registered as a harder hit, often referred to as setting the velocity curve.

Just meaning the routing Out1/2, Out 3/4  – does SD3 have a feature that can make that stay constant when loading a different mixer configuration?

In the Drums and Mixer preset menu; enable Keep Output Routing on Preset Change

    mixer preset plugin configs

What preset do you mean by that? Can you describe it better, or add a screenshot?

really hope that you do not have to create a separate snare drum for each individual articulation

You aren’t adding the entire instrument when you add a stack, you are only adding one articulation.

We haven’t included the option to stack an entire instrument in one go, but you can do that pretty quickly anyway:

    • Select the snare
    • Go to Search for Instrument (via right click menu, or press Alt + R on Mac, Ctrl + R on PC)
    • Select the snare you want to add as a stack
    • On the right side, you’ll see all the articulations
      • on each articulation, there’s a menu arrow on the right side
        • click it and select where you want to stack the articulation
    • Select next articulation and do the same, until you are satisfied…

EZkeys is the software we have released for keys – so far 🙂 Unfortunately, we can’t comment or make any promises on future products.

    Thanks for the kind words!

The full version doesn’t lack any features.

To change power hand: drag a song block to the song  track, double click it to enter Edit Play Style, and drag the Power Hand sign!

    You can do this by

    • selecting all instruments except the snare (easiest done by shift + clicking in the instruments list)
    • in Drums and Mixer preset menu, right click any preset and select Load Parts
    • Under Load Drums, select Only selected instruments
      • This will replace all instruments except the snare, since it’s selected

A shortcut that works in the standalone version doesn’t work.

Make sure that keyboard shortcuts are enabled when using a DAW in Superior Drummer 3!

    • In Settings/General, check Enable Keyboard Shortcuts in other hosts than the standalone (DAWs)

    Henrik Ekblom,
Please provide a “Logic X Drummer” midi map for Superior Drummer 3.

If you go to Settings / MIDI In/E-drums, can you see Apple/Logic Drum Kit Designer in the presets list?

We haven’t focused on this, since it’s possible in most DAWs to show MIDI as drum notation. Have you tried this, and if so, how is your experience with that?

Are you using EZdrummer 2 and playing on e-drums?
