Right click the folders you don’t want to search, and select Exclude from the menu 🙂

You can also exclude other filters, such as “I don’t want to find any reggae beats”, then right click the Reggae filter and select Exclude!

I’m thinking that the fact that importing a meter map into a blank “track” in SD3 doesn’t exactly show up very well in the GUI is probably what was happening and I probably just didn’t realize that it was working.

We’ll look into this, and see if we can make it clearer 🙂

    Thanks for the report!

The included electronic sounds in the core library are mainly instruments used for stacking, e.g. electronic kicks and snares. Electronic hi-hats are found in

    • Action! EZX
    • Dream Pop EZX
    • Electronic EZX
    • Hip-Hop! EZX
    • Number 1 Hits EZX

Further, you can just drag and drop an electronic hi-hat audio file to the hi-hat to create a custom instrument.

If you enable Web Shop MIDI in the Grooves tab, you can preview all MIDI that toontrack has released. Check that out to see if you can find the MIDI you want! You can combine Web Shop MIDI with the other tags, such as genre, to only show Reggae MIDI for example.

If you open up Product Manager, does it say that it’s completely installed? This indicates what plugins that you installed (AAX, AU). However, the VST is always installed so it should work even if opted out from installing the others…

If you open the standalone version of Superior Drummer 3, you can see the path to where the VST plugin is installed in the Help menu. This path should be used in Live, so it can find the VST plugin. Check that and reply here on how it goes!

All products can be downloaded using the Toontrack Product Manager. However, note that EZdrummer 1 has support for up to Windows 8.

EZdrummer 2 has support for Windows 7 and all newer versions.

Another audio engine problem here. There is no audio coming from SD3 any more – suddenly stopped. SD3 showed the “Audio Engine inactive” message. The visual effects are working (hits on the drums etc.).
When I open a new instance of SD3 in the same Cubase 10 project, the sound is working again. When I load the stored project that I saved in the instance of SD3 that is not working, the audio is missing again – now in the new instance as well.

    • Cubase 10
    • SD3 3.1.4
    • no external interface

Reply To: “Audio Engine Inactive” Message in SD3 version: 3.1.4
    Operating system: macOS Mojave (10.14)

The Audio Engine Inactive is just a visual cue that says that Superior Drummer 3 hasn’t got any place to send the audio to. So it’s something that’s happening in Cubase, or with the drivers to the audio interface (even if you don’t have an external audio interface).

Have you updated, or changed something, since it stopped working?

Does it work in standalone mode?

You can drag MIDI into EZkeys. The problem is that most hosts doesn’t support drag and drop from the host. You can try if your host can do this by dragging a MIDI file from the host to your desktop. If it works – it’s supported.

In the cases where the host doesn’t support drag and drop from the host – record enable EZkeys and play the MIDI from the host. The MIDI will be recorded to the song track of EZkeys. This is often easier than exporting the MIDI from the host, then importing it to EZkeys…

How do I do this most easily with EZ Keys?

Just select the song parts in EZkeys you want, and drag it to Studio One!

You can enable MIDI out, and send the MIDI from the EZkeys song track to another instrument 🙂

    To summarize:

    • when you scroll in the Grid Editor, the play head will follow and always be shown in the middle.
    • When you hit play, the Grid Editor will continuously scroll along.

Have I understood your request? 🙂

Linux hasn’t been on our priority, and we don’t unfortunately comment on any future releases that we may have.
