    What happened…?

John removed the spam tag from them. The issue is reported to the IT guys 🙂

Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit is very affordable and would be great to partner it with EZ2 or SD3 as a value offer. The only thing that is holding me up to buy SD3 instead of AD2 is to know how to solve the cymbal choke issue.

This has been fixed in the latest version of Superior Drummer 3. We will have a look at it for coming updates of EZdrummer 2 as well, however – I can’t give any estimates on when this will happen, due to currently high workload…

    So frustrating, still not there.

I right click the folder I want exclude, hit Exclude, it turns red.

Then I save Default project (‘Set Current to Def Proj’) hit Overwrite and exit the standalone.

I reopen and they’re still there

That’s strange. Can you check that Default Project is working as it should? E.g. try to remove (unload) the snare, or add a MIDI groove to Song Track (or basically any change) then save a Default Project, and start SD3 – just to see that the default project is loaded as it should.

Thanks for all the input. I will take notes of your ideas and will consider them for future updates!

My initial plan was to drag them to the grid, cut the extra bars and replace the original file with. But SD3 is going to change the mapping, so putting them back where they were seems not to be an option.

If you drag the files straight from the operative system’s Finder/Explorer to the song track, cut the MIDI and drag it back, does that work?

After you have done the dragging, you need to right click User MIDI folder to sync file changes…

Note that I’m not saying that your thoughts are wrong, I understand that different users has different wishes for the design. I’m just explaining the ideas behind the design – which isn’t perfect – as no design is, so we are always listening to requests from our users 🙂

Just tried this without result, the folders to be excluded turned red, I saved a new default, closed SD3 and reopened…. still there.

Hmm, did you open a DAW project where Superior Drummer 3 was already loaded? In that case, the default project won’t be used – it will load the SD3 that was saved into the DAW project 🙂

If you add a new instance of SD3 in the project, it should work. You can also try to open the SD3 standalone application, which will load the Default Project.

    Hey Henrik,

Still not 100% clear on this, I’m not using EZDrummmer but SD3.

Does the same apply, just save a default after Excluding?

    Cheerz n thankz

Yes sir. The Default Project is there so you can setup EZd2 or SD3 the way you want it to be “by default”. Every time you open a new instance of the software it will start with the Default Project 🙂

without having to click 3 windows to Reach the simple “learn” Option ¡.. why?.. so many clicks ??… simplicity is gone in SD3..

The MIDI mapping options in SD3 are more advanced, since we have separated the incoming MIDI mapping (Settings > MIDI In/E-drums) and the internal MIDI mapping (found in the property box MIDI Mapping on the right side of the drums tab). This made it more complex to add a Learn button straight on the instrument. I agree that the Learn button would be nice to be able to access directly, and we have it on our feature request list.

the mixer is Great.. but I was Happier with SD2 all there… in your face no need for Click another Windows.. then CLick another tab.. and then open ..another window.. then.. Hit learn..

I can’t follow your reasoning here, since entering the mixer requires one click – same as SD2?

The same with Changing the Snare for example.. if I want to change the snare..with the snare of another library I have to click .. Search….? and then a Browser..?? opens.. and Then  I have to find the Library… find the Snare ? why so many “Steps” ???.. why not just like in EZ Drummer 2..?? where in the Same Windows you can … Change the library and choose a Snare just right There..

If you press Alt + R when selecting an instrument (the snare for example) you’ll end up in Search for Instrument. In there you select the library from which you want to see the snares. Then you select the snare, and press Enter. This is the exact same amount of clicks as in EZd2, but you have much more control over what you want to find. You can, for example, find a Tom from another library and place it on the snare drum position, or select to stack any instrument on any instrument position…

To make it even faster, in the text search type in the first letters of the library from where you want to get the new snare, and the suggestion list beneath it should show it. This means you don’t have to find it in the (for some users) long list of libraries.

When you have selected a snare from another library, you can simply swap snares from that library by using the instrument selector, straight above the drum kit.

and is there a way to remove.. Grooves Tab and Tracker Tab ?? hide them? I don’t just them at all..

No, we haven’t implement such a feature – even though I can understand that some would find it nice. There is a line we have to draw regarding what can be changed in the interface, and what can’t, and the simplified answer is that a software that has 1000 settings for changing the interface doesn’t mean it’s better than having 10 🙂

It’s like John said, on the toms position you can only load toms from other libraries etc.

You will probably have to do some tweaking in a DAW (Cubase, Reaper, or similar). In there you have to load two instances of EZdrummer 2, and make the MIDI routing in the DAW, so that the correct MIDI notes goes to the correct instrument in each EZdrummer 2…

Thank you Henrik, the original drum Map was creating on Addictive Drums 2.0….

should I create the new one drum Map in SD3 by hand?

I read that I can use EzPlayer pro to do the conversion from AD drum map to SD3 drum Map…

No need to do the job yourself then, just use the pre-made preset 🙂

I would love it if there was a ‘hide’ function  to simply – temporarily – remove grooves from view, I orignally thought the ‘ Exclude’ functions were about this but I realize now it’s only search-related

Yes, this is the intended way. If you exclude some folders in the Search tab, and save a Default Project – every time you start EZdrummer 2, those folders will be excluded.

In what situations (besides searching for grooves) would you like the folders to be excluded/hidden?
