When you use standalone, EZdrummer is in charge of setting up the MIDI hardware. When you use Reason (or any other DAW), the DAW is in charge. So there’s a settings page in Reason where you setup your hardware. I don’t know exactly where it is, but it should be easy to find – either by searching in Reason’s menus, or by checking Google 🙂

There is a workaround – to route the bleeds to their own mixer channels, and set the ADSR curve for those channels. But it might require too much work, in your case?

I’ll add that to the list too 🙂

EZmix is a mix plugin, which means it doesn’t add new sounds, it adds mixing to your existing sounds.
If you want electronic drum sounds, such as kicks and snares, look up EZdrummer 2/Superior Drummer 3, and the different expansions which contains electronic drums. Number 1 Hits EZX is an EZdrummer 2 expansion pack I often use.
EZkeys is the product line for keys instruments, and it has different sounds spanning from regular pianos to keyboards with effects on them.

Yes, both this features are useful. I’ll add your ideas to our feature request list!

Start by adding a Cowbell (Drums tab top right corner > Add Instrument > Search for Instrument…)
Then go to MIDI mapping property box (right of the drum kit) and add 56 as the MIDI note it should listen to.
When you change Drums and Mixer preset, press the small arrow in the preset list and open Load Parts…

There is also another way of doing this, using Settings > MIDI In/E-drums but I think the above way is enough in your case. If not, please write back in this thread 🙂

You can also press the + button (top left of the song track), which will insert straight play styles (simple chord layerings) with chords. Change the chords to the length you want, and the chords you want.
Then select the blocks on the song track, press “Use Browser MIDI” and preview different grooves from the browser – which will play the groove from the browser but using your chords on the track.

In the tracker there’s a bleed setting, that tries to remove any bleed between audio files to better track the individual hits.
That’s a different thing than going to the mixer and reducing bleed – which changes how the drum kit (and it’s samples) sound.
E.g in the mixer you can’t reduce any bleed from audio files (that’s placed in the tracker). Have I understood your problem correctly, and if so can you follow my explanation here? 🙂

Start Superior Drummer 3 in standalone version, and in the Help menu you can see where the VST is installed.
Add this path in Reaper.

You can also save individual mixer channels, and load them in another expansion. This is done in the menu in the mixer tab.

Note that you can select all instruments and increase the velocity, if it’s too low for all instruments, or just select one or a few instruments and change the velocity for those!

Thanked by: JimbronieSelect the block that has too low velocity (hardness of the hits), double click it to open Edit Play Style.
In there, raise the Velocity to make the hits harder 🙂

Hey thank you!, where do i put the presets please?
If you open the Drums & Mixer preset menu, below User Presets you’ll see Manage in Explorer (or Manage in Finder if you are using a Mac). Click that to open the folder where the user presets are stored, and place them there 🙂

Thanked by: jonah66If using a DAW (Mainstage for Mac is great for live performances for example), one can set up different presets in the DAW which switches preset in SD3, and can be controlled with keyboard shortcuts.

Thanked by: Volodymyr RiThank for the feedback! Your ideas are all useful, and I’ll write down the ones we don’t already have on our feature request list 🙂
Have you seen that you can press option + drag (on mac, Ctrl + drag on PC) to copy blocks?
