Anyone else having these “connection timeouts” ?
I am slowly starting to lose my patience.. 12 days of downloading SD3 and still not finished!
Do I have to babysit the downloads for the next week or two in order to get them finished!?

Thanks for the report, and we are sorry for the troubles you are experiencing. Currently the Product Manager tries to reconnect for a while. People seem to have longer breaks on their internet connection/connection to the download servers so we will change this so the Product Manager keeps on trying to reconnect.

Hi Toontrack,
Any tips on this?
Thanks!
Do you mean that it sounds like two or more snare are being played when you preview a snare in the Search for Instrument window?

This is a drawback we are aware of, and it is like this because of technical reasons. It affects the playback when changing Folder on the left. We will look at it, but I can’t tell you when this will be fixed… Thanks for the report!

In the Grooves tab, there is a menu entry in the menu (a button with text “Grooves”, top left) – Advanced Sorting >
If you there uncheck “Sort by Priority”, the default sorting will be to try to match the current projects tempo.
We have discussed adding more options to the Grooves tab (filter by BPM for example, as you said). We’ll see when we have the time to look at it!

You can’t save only some drums, you save a Drums and Mixer User Preset preset – which saves the drums and the mixer. You can then load parts of that preset, for example only the toms, and the mixer channels where the toms are close miked (channels labeled “Tom 1”, “Tom 2” etc).

I am looking into this subject.
* I put a macro on the level on the snare
* save it as a user preset “test1”
* Loads the drums only, by using Load Parts…, from another preset
* I save this as “test2”
I close Superior Drummer 3, open it again – and both presets “test1” and “test2” has its macro knob working correctly.
Does this scenario work for you?
Do you only save Drums and Mixer User Presets, or do you save/load projects anytime (from the File menu)?
