Hi Armand,
Thanks for getting in touch! We’re looking into it, and I’ll get back to you when the download link is working.
If you wouldn’t mind, letting us know which browser you use would be helpful!

Hey chastrader,
Could you tell us more? Is there no download link, or does the download fail?
If you browse either of these two links, can you download from there?

Hi Michael,
If you manage your presets in Finder (there’s a shortcut in the preset menu), is the files and/or folder for Action EZX! set to “Locked”, or are your permissions “Read only”?

Hi Rolomoto,
If you drag the clips side by side in the Song Track and open the Grid Editor, you can copy and paste instruments (rows) between the two clips. When you’ve transferred the bits you want into your clip, just remove the other one. You may have to adjust the position for the notes you’ve copied (pasting always puts the first note where the play cursor is).
Hope this helps you get the grooves you want!

Hello again,
You can right-click the drum you want to save, select More -> User Instruments -> Save As...
and you’re all set. This saves the entire stack of drums.
The reason I didn’t begin with “That’s easy!”, is that you need to check instrument routings (if you load the drums to a different library), save the mixer channel effects in the mixer tab for all the compressors, eq, reverbs, etc. You also need to manually add bus channels and set sends in your custom user preset. That’s 9 + 6 channels in the Man of Sand preset!
Takes some time, but you’re crafting the drums of your dreams and that has to be worth the effort : )
Remember that you can both save your drum set within a project, as well as a preset.

Hey Rolomoto,
I’ve added a feature request for count in. We already have a feature request for Song Part names, but it has not been implemented yet.
Instead of having a count in block, why not start on beat two in the Song Track? That way, when you drag the MIDI into your DAW, the count in beat isn’t included. If you export the MIDI, the empty bar is still there, however.

Hey 6StringChug!
If you’re entirely new to drum mixing, there are a ton of videos about Superior Drummer 3 on Youtube to help you out, both from us here at Toontrack (including a “How to…” series) and other users.
If you have some experience, I think this’ll get you off the ground and on the path to greatness:
Recreating the “Black Album” drum sound with Superior Drummer 3
Remember to also try out all of the presets included in Superior 3 for more inspiration. In the mixer tab you can see where and how each preset sends and processes its snare microphone signal, and you can copy and save both Channel Effects as well as user presets within each of the different mixer effects.

Hi Daniel,
If you didn’t choose your extra expansion back in January, you’re right it probably has expired by now.
Contact support and they’ll help you get things sorted: How do I contact support?
Erik Berglund — Toontrack
Hi,
There’s a button in the bottom of every support article which you can click to contact support.
See more here: How do I contact support?

Hi run2thesun,
I think Product Manager is complaining because there’s not even enough room to download the libraries!
If you go to Preferences in the program menu, you can change the Download Location there.

Hi Unclebass,
There isn’t one publicly available.
If you’re specifically looking for these instruments, The Metal Foundry SDX has a Ludwig Silver Sparkle kit. It mainly uses Sabian cymbals, however.
Custom & Vintage SDX has the largest collection of Zildjian cymbals among libraries, but there are a few in the SD3 core library too.

Thanked by: Unclebass and mrdoodleHey Drummerstuart,
It is entirely normal! All the pads and instruments are still there, they just look different. The appearance is different, because Superior has to keep the perspective for all kits. Otherwise, things would quickly turn surrealistic when you load drums from different libraries.
EZdrummer is more creatively free, since it doesn’t replace graphics when you load instruments from other libraries.
There is no way to change the background graphics, unfortunately.

Thanked by: DrummerstuartHi romie233,
Did you manage to get past this issue? I assume you closed the Visual C++ installer and everything finished OK anyway.
Could you attach a screenshot of the Visual C++ installer windows if there’s still an issue?
Erik Berglund — Toontrack
Hi Jared,
Great that you solved the issue! If you have the time, could you tell us which cymbal and in which position this issue happened in?
