I see that opening and closing the Hihat without hitting the pad, the controller still sends CC values even when selecting the new edrum optimized settings, which still gives me weird open articulations, what we need is for SD3 to ignore any CC from the controller if the hihat is not hit so it only triggers the pedal closed articulation and not the whole CC range of open articulations…
“the new “splash sensitivity” setting cannot fix it”
Well it fixed it for me, using a VH-14D and a TD-50, I reduced it to 10% and I can get clean pedal closed notes
I’d rather have a proper update on the Core Library (positional sensing articulations on the cymbals and the toms, for example) than yet another overpriced expansion pack. Or you know, get us version 4.
But if that’s not in the cards, how about a Pop or Country library? I get that over-processed “metal” is cheaper to produce but I’d rather spend money on something that actually sounds nice and is useful.
Overpriced? Geez, you must be one of those „open-source-linux-everything-that-costs-more-than-1-USD-is-a-ripoff“ kinda guy…
You can’t download the partial/minimal version, you must download the whole expansion to install the minimal version, kind of counterintuitive but it’s so…
The TD-50 supports 8 channels over USB, the TD-50X supports up to 32 channels, I’m surprised and somewhat disappointed that as a “technical advisor” you don’t know that…. maybe you need an “Edrum specialist”
It is important to note that each SDX Library is different in regards to volume and velocities, the core library is particularly recorded with a light touch, try getting a kick velocity above 60 on the default preset and you will barely hear it, then try it in rock foundry default and you will be deaf instantly….
I bounced a couple of hits on this second cymbal, the 19″ Z K Constantinople C R, and saw this, the bow clearly shows some peaks on the left, the bell and crash seem fine to me.
Please read Section 7.1.1 Bounce from Chapter 7.1 The Track Menu in the SuperiorDrummer 3 Operation Manual.
Your Post to Topic ratio is impressive! 🙂
