I’ve got to say, based out of South Florida, USA and things are running at a meager 11MB/s on my 1.2Gb line (150MB/s). On the same computer I’m getting speedtests to Sweden at 450Mb/s(56MB/s). So, we can’t even blame it on the distance, assuming that Toontrack has their servers based near their HQ. Would love to see Toontrack do better here.
On a positive note, they’re very responsive and am mostly happy with their product support.
I’ve owned my copy of SD3 and all expansion packs for years and haven’t had an issue with authorizing until now. Just did a fresh reinstall of MacOS Sonoma and still can authorize. Seems like it’s a server issue. They’ll likely have it fixed soon. I placed a support ticket.
Got around to testing the distorted ride situation here again.
The distortion is coming from the AMB Mid channel (see sreenshot). I’ve got no effects, JUST the track enabled, and there’s a fair amount of distortion coming off this channel. It seems to affect most everything on that channel, regardless of what level I have it set at. Everything is set to default levels with mic bleed. Nothing cranked. Nothing red-lining.
Running a Mac Studio M2 Ultra with plenty of headroom here on CPU. I’ve even knocked the buffer to 64, however this seems more like an analogue-sounding distortion.
This is the only issue with distortion I’ve come across in my setup, so I’m certain it’s rooted somewhere within the software.
Thanks,
J
@Damian
I’ve found a distorted ride on several samples for the following setup:
Fields of Rock – Live Kit – 20″ Sabian AXX X-treme
Note:
PS: I notice an update just came out. I’ll get to testing that again.
Any chance you’d provide some kind of discount voucher for a future toontrack purchase?
Thank you Damian. I also just came across a distorted ride. However I was in the middle of something so I didn’t get a chance to write notes on it. I did change to another ride which resolved the issue. More to come.
Wish you’d offer some kind of voucher for all of the weirdness with this SDX.
I will say this, overall, it’s such a great sounding capture of these kits and the space. I truly enjoy playing this sdx on my V
e-drum setup. I wish there were more cymbal choices, however the cymbals recorded sound so damn good and balanced between bell and bow.
Anyway, I hope you all get the bugs ironed out on this one.
Just got Fields of Rock, had it for two days. Today I discovered a sneeze on the Constantinople Ride on the Dry library when hitting the BOW SHANK articulation that I was triggering multiple times with just 9 layers per velocity range. Then tonight I came across a voice on the 16×24″ Kick on the Live library, somewhere in the mid to hard velocity.
Between Core, Legacy of Rock, Indiependent, and Progressive Foundry, I haven’t hear these kinds of noises… with Legacy an Core being the most used.
While the voice on the kick isn’t the worst, the sneeze is VERY disappointing. I’ve placed tickets for both.
