When miking and mixing live drums, you have to be aware of phase problems, canceling and comb filter

I would’ve thought regardless of the source medium you’d need to consider phase alignment when mixing as you’re adding inherent latencies and phasing by EQ’s hence why the likes of fabfilter have a full linear phase operation mode.

Maybe there are issues with the library, but even so it only ads an extra task in line with what you should be doing in the first place.

    Kind regards

You have a good point http://www.toontrack.com/forum/showProfile.aspx?memid=155374.

I’m pretty sure that Toontrack has always said that you don’t have to change the phase relationship between, say, the snare top and bottom. I’m pretty sure it’s meant to sound “natural” as is (for Superior anyway – so I’m assuming it’s the same for EZDrummer).

Of course, if you want to go edit the bounced audio files to align their phase differently – that’s great. It’s an added bonus to be able to do this!
