Resolved this, but not sure how.  I updated EZDrummer 2, closed it, closed Cakewalk, and restarted my PC.  I got the kit to show up.

Henrik, Using the Original Mix present was life-changing for me.  It was driving me nuts to have bleed when I thought all the bleed was off.

After watching the demos, I think the answer to #1 is “yes,” and to #2 “MIDI packs add styles that work with user chord progressions.”  If someone can confirm, that would be awesome. Thanks.
