So, somehow, I was able to get product manager to work finally.. I tried a number of things and I’m not sure what actually did it… but I have everything functioning as normal now.

I’m attaching the error message I was getting.  I uninstalled Product manager three times (and emptied my trash bin) but it never wanted to log me in.  I ran a quick system scan and cleaned out some unnecessary files (my Mac is only 2 months old and besides recorded music and Voice Over stuff, there’s not much on here) and then re-installed Product Manager again.  It worked this time… so, yeah, I think I’m good to go.  I do appreciate the rapid response and willingness to assist me.

Glad it is working now 🙂

The issue stems from not using the Toontrack Product Manager. You say you can’t get Product Manager to work. What exactly happens? Do you get error messages?

Do you have the EZD2 or S3 drum sampler that is required for any EZX expansion pack? If not, that is what the error message indicates.

Right. Then where do I get EZD2 or S3? And does it mean that I have to purchase them for the product I already purchased? Basicly; am I just wasting my money and not getting any working product here…?

Yes, EZD2 or S3 are separate products that would need to be purchased.

If you don’t have the full sampler, having just the EZX expansion is a waste of money yes.

Just read up “MIDI learn”…. I use SD3 but ez should be similar..

Basically you can remap anything you want

EZD2 does not have a MIDI Learn function like it’s big brother S3. And mapping for EZD2 needs to be done in the drum module.

Hi! How can I update Toontrack software? I tried to install “Made Of Metal EZX” and when I press “install” it slags me off saying: You need to upgrade your Toontrack software to the latest version before you can install this product.

So, how do I update my Toontrack software in order to install the program? Other option is of course to ask refund, but…

    Operating system: Windows 10

EZXs are expansion packs that require a sampler to work. You need either EZD2 or S3 to load the expansion in.

I will remove everything again and next time only install the 64bit version, let’s see how goes

Looking at your download history, you just downloaded the Full Product installer, version 2.0.2 (2015-04-23). So, yes, if you ran that, that wouldn’t be the latest version. Look again in the Product Manager for the Update section (right below the Full Installer section) and there should be the 2.1.8 (2018-11-08) Update Installer. That is the installer you want to use to update.

I would manually delete that 64-bit ezdrummer.dll and run the 2.1.8 64-bit update again. If it was originally installed in that n-track location, it should install there. If it installs somewhere else, set the path in your DAW to that location but don’t move or copy it from the original install location.

No, The samples are not in any SDX. As of today anyway. I don’t know if it will be in the future or not.

There is an EZbass Help section for help of you can’t get it running yourself. Or you can contact Toontrack Support directly from the FAQ Contact Support Webform.

And, like other software, if it didn’t work out, you can sell it as long as you follow the license transfer protocol.

Don’t seem to have a contents folder at that location?

I can’t see the version number in the corner of this pic.

Has the ezdrummer.dll been moved or copied from the location in that error box to somewhere else?

What is the version number that shows in that screenshot with the error?

Hey Scott, I have a small clip of the guitar track I’m wanting EZb to analyze.  When I tried to contact the Toontrack support, it only allows me the option to send them in these formats: .jpg .jpeg .png .gif .tif .tiff .mp4

I have attached the MP to this post.

    I’m using Logic X 10.5.0

Why would they not accept MP3s?  That seems goofy.

I’m not sure what or why the file types are what they are on the support ticket form. But you can link to this thread now that you have the file attached to a post here though.

On my Windows 8 laptop, the EZkeys MIDI is at C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Toontrack\EZKeys Content\EZkeys
