You can install either way (download via PM or from the physical media if you have a DVD drive).
Either way, register the serial number in Product Manager and either install via download or DVDs. Then authorize in PM and install any updates available.

Hi Scott!
The .dll is in my vsti folder, but not directly in the ezdrummer folder- when I try to move it into the folder, it says that ez drummer could not be loaded…
Reply To: EZX ACTION! cannot use expansion due to newer version needed version: 2.1.4
Operating system: Windows 10
Is that install location the original location or did you move it?
Have you tried to uninstall EZD2 and reinstall it from the Toontrack Product Manager?

If you want a grand piano sound you’ll need a grand piano Ezkeys sounds library.

You can purchase the Expansion version because you already have purchadrf an EZkeys sound library.
The EZkeys MIDI packs only contain MIDI and not sounds.

You can browse all the MIDI packs from Toontrack via the Show Webshop MIDI.

What version of EZD2 is showing on the interface? Has the .dll been moved or copied since it was originally interface?
If it has been, you’ll need to either manual move it back and run the latest update from the Toontrack Product Manager, or delete the .dll and run the update from the Product Manager.

I’ve removed all inactive authorizations. You should be all set to authorize your new computer.

If you still want access to the 2 default kits from EZD2 you’ll have to keep it installed.

Do you guys answer support questions? You don’t take phone calls and nobody responded back to me. After 5 hours I figured the first issue out. The next issue is how do I display the song duration or time of a song on the interface?
If you’re using EZD2 as a plugin in your DAW, it will sync with the host DAW. There is no time display in the plugin itself.
