It’s most likely velocity that is making it buzz. The highest simple sample velocity may buzz.

Can you post a screenshot of your MIDI browser?

There are around 1800 MIDI files in the S3 MIDI library. But it’s only MIDI and is about 5MB in size. What you spent 6 hours downloading was the sound library which is a massive 240GB of you installed the whole library.

So what do you have to do, but EZkeys for 185 euro

If you purchased a MIDI pack without  having the correct Toontrack sampler to use it with, yes, you would need to purchase it. Or, alternatively, if you purchased from the Toontrack Webshop, you can contact Toontrack directly via the Contact Support button in the FAQ below and request a refund.

Can you zip and attach one of the actual dump files? It will help the programmers with identifying the issue.

So, in the Grid Editor, there are 2 tools available. They are located at the top  left in the Grid Editor. The regular Pointer Tool for moving notes and the Pencil Tool for adding hits. The arrow tool can be instantly changed to the Pencil tool by pressing Command + Option (Mac) on your keyboard (Alt+Control PC). See the link below to the section of the manual for more details on the Grid Editor.

Also, see the video walk-through of the Grid Editor.

As to your second question, if you’re going to have MIDI on the S3 Song Track you’ll need to move them on the Song Track. Moving things in your DAW won’t move them in the S3 Song Track automatically. You’ll need to move them manually. If you want, you can drag MIDI from the S3 Song Track onto your DAW MIDI Track and use your DAW MIDI Editor instead of the S3 MIDI Editor. It’s one or the other. If you prefer your DAW editor, and also have MIDI on the S3 Song Track, make sure you disable Follow Host in S3 so you won’t have 2 versions of MIDI playing at the same time.

    Hi Scott:

    Thanks for the speedy reply.

That’s a metronome click track, not a count off. I need a count off. I like the fact that it doesn’t print, though (I seem to remember export testing it).

But I don’t want my drummer to keep clicking after the count-off :))

Is there a way to configure a count-off?

    Thanks. -K

edit: Ok, you were also saying that there should be a metronome count-off in my Logic. I am a real newbie with my daw. I will try to make that work. Thanks again.

If your just looking for 4 clicks, I’d just search the internet for a stick click sample, download it, and copy/paste it 4 times at the 1/4 note marks at the start of your song in your DAW on an audio track.

Hello All. Has this been addressed? I must have missed it. Is there a button right there in front of my face?

I don’t care if it’s sticks or clicks (though definitely not hand claps!), but I simply want a variable length count-off that doesn’t get printed. It helps in recording demos and simple video tracks when I use my EZ Drummer.

    Thanks. -K

In EZD2 standalone there is a ‘Click button in the transport bar at the bottom. If you’re using EZD2 on a DAW, you should have a metronome/click on the DAW.

The Toontrack drum MIDI require a Toontrack drum sampler to work (EZD2, S2, or S3).

Have you moved or copied the ezdrummer.dll since it was first installed? Do you have more than 1 ezdrummer.dll on your computer?

Currently there is limited search filtering. You can search Products, FAQ, forum post, manuals, and News & Inspirations, and All. I agree, it would be a good forum upgrade to be able to search with extra filters.

Drag and drop from DAW to EZbass works if the DAW allows it.  As far as I know, I can’t think of one DAW that does. Pro Tools, Logic, etc restrict dragging from DAW to plugins. I don’t use Reaper, or well, haven’t since version 4.something so I can’t say for sure if Reaper allows it or not.

I record onto the Song Track  from the DAW as you found. It’s not as elegant as it could be. I’m hoping as more plugins have a use for it, drag and drop from host to plugin may be implement. Alas, it will need to be implemented by the DAW creators
